Forrins in the Greek league though. Can't trust forrins.

The cub stuff is an absolute joke. Howay man, I felt really proud when they gave me a new badge. Uniform was a bit dodgy like but still.

I think that's the first nice thing you've said about her. The nice face bit, not the hippo stuff.

Surely some things can be positive?

Why would I care whether he's good enough for Ashley? He's not good enough for a club of this stature so he'll get called for it. Because he's the man who will employ the next manager and he's been delighted with Pardew, he views him as the best appointment he's made, hence the 8 year deal. He's going to give the job to someone who he hopes can match Pardew's last 3 years, not surpass them. Yeah I get why Ashley's delighted to employ a lickspittle, but I'm a fan so I don't have to agree with it. The reason I have begrudgingly cautioned against strong opposition in the past is because there is very little that Mike Ashley has done or will ever do that I can put any faith in whatsoever. We could mount massive pressure against each and every one of his managerial appointments we disagree with and see a consistently worsening situation similar to the relegation season where we went through 72 managers in 9 months. We could see a far better manager installed, but then I believe that wouldn't last because anyone with any ambition, morals, skill or pride would be at loggerheads with the owner very soon, as we saw with Keggy. Working for Ashley requires a lick-spittle, yes-man, prick willing to tow the line and not rock the boat. Pardew is perfect there. Of course, the whole fear of rocking the boat too much argument, in case of losing points, loses any credence once even the limited expectations placed on the manager cannot be even partially matched. Where's your damn spine gone? What happened to you to make you so afraid of the unknown? It's not unknown. We have 7 years of evidence showing how ashley works with managers. Good and bad. Allardyce - Binned after 6 months KK - walked out after 6 months Joe Kinnear - Ill health Shearer - Never called back after 8 games Hughton - sacked after promotion and a steady start in the prem league Pardew - here forever Hardley a great track record of working with managers. Yeah but we do also have the second longest serving manager in the Premier League. Stat Paradox. Dat stability

Fucking hell, you could say this about any manager of any club When big bust ups come about or players end up in reserves, word usually gets out in the press. Pardew hasn't had many cases of this or no more than what other managers do. Sure nobody kicked up this storm when Pochettino binned his star signing, there was no question of poor man management then. I just don’t see how people say Pardew has a reputation for falling out with players here when I can’t think of anything major. Him and Colo had one but resolved it all fairly quickly. Word did get out in the press and you said:

I'm sorry Brett, do we know what goes on within the squad and the club now? Earlier we couldn't have an opinion because 'we don't know what happens' yet now you seem to have the inside track on the happy happy joy club at NUFC.

I'm more impressed you seem to have the England managers gig on some kind of part time basis.

Yeah after a year of him playing poorly and mentally being a wreck he worked things out himself. Likewise Tiote. Maybe I am being overly harsh and maybe our coaching staff did well and it needed to take over a year to get him through it. He was class previous to coming here too lets not forget. Although we had a very poor season last year. Cabaye was still one of our top performers. Was solid at the start of that season, looked good when he came back from injury for a month or so before his form collapsed. Wouldn't say he was a wreck. Likewise people say Tiote was terrible in the season we finished 5th which is laughable. He wasn't playing at his best levels but he didn't have a bad season by any means. Ryan Taylor, Mike Williamson and James Perch didn't have bad seasons either ffs. No they don't. Is it the voices in your head saying it?

What a twat. I like the way at the end he says Pardew has been saddled with us. Well boo fucking hoo, if it's such a trial for the little lamb he can fuck off and not come back, we won't shed any tears.
-
I think it's good that Pards has had the foresight to get the senior players involved and mentoring the U18s like this. We'll reap the benefit in the future when the kids start breaking through, good job Big Al.
-
Surely not, Pardew doesn't freeze anyone out Ahaha, he never said he doesn't freeze anyone out this season though did he? He meant there might be a vague possibility he'll not freeze people out in a coming season yet to be determined.

i want to reiterate that the stump of Taylor_J's shrivelled excuse for a penis was finally worn away this weekend on his grandfather's back passage.

The standards pretty decent as it goes and the games are pretty good too. Proper GZ won the asian champions league this season, did alright in the world club cup too.
-
It's the rubbish Guangzhou, not the real Guangzhou. R&F are a new club that used to be in Shenzhen and a couple other places. Evergrande is the proper GZ, R&F are like MK Dons, franchise FC.

Can't anyone just buy us to win stuff?

You carry on mate, it's fine

I still think we will grab 8th actually You know what mate, when we were on course to finish 5th a lot of us were saying 'this is s***, it's not sustainable, we need to do things differently'. The next season we barely avoided relegation. When we were in that decent little spell before Christmas a few were lapping it up and spouting their usual s**** normally accompanied by a call to look at the league table. Some people can see further than just the current league position. We worry about the direction the club is going, the overall strategy (if there is one), the long term development of the club from the academy levels to the first team. If you're happy with what you see when you look at Newcastle United then all power to you. I'll never be happy with what i see with Ashley in charge. I've never budged from the fact he's the biggest cunt by a country mile. If you could have a situation where either Ashley stays long term and a new manager is hired, or a new owner comes in and Pardew remains in charge, i'd take the new owner all day long without question. The owners are the most important people at the club, not the players, not the manager. With the right ambition and with the right attitude, the owners can take your club wherever they dare to dream. Players/Managers however can always be restricted by the owner in charge, like is the case with us. Well you need to talk to trollboy then because he thinks the owner's doing ok and our squad is improving every year.
-
Absolutely yes. Take the past and the present and extrapolate the various possible futures. Look at the direction and the trend of events and on that base your expectations and hopes for this great football club. Well, that's what I've done. And in the last few seasons, our lineup at the end of each summer transfer window has been stronger than the lineup at the end of the summer window before it. Whether that has been down to January business or whatever, it's true. So now I want to see whether the same will apply at the start of next season. I don't think it will (because Cabaye was so damn good and I don't think his replacement will be a match, with the best will in the world) but I think we'll have made some significant improvements across the team. So we've improved our squad every season and yet we're not far above where Hughton left us. Our last league position was well below where Hughton left us. You state we have improved our squad year on year ergo Alan Pardew has done a worse job with a better squad than Chris Hughton who was sacked. We're not far above because it is really really hard to break into the top 6. We could improve even more and still find that we tend to finish 6th - 8th. But anyone can glance at our squad over the last 3 years and see it's improved as we've signed players like Ben Arfa, Debuchy, Cabaye, Sissoko, Anita, Mbiwa, Gouffran, Remy blah blah. If anyone is going to dispute that then I give up. Ok, so we agree Pardew is doing less with more.

That's Brett's stance too. We finished ninth this season apparently.
