Nobody is forcing us to play different systems in europe and the league, that's his choice. If it's hindering our preparation then maybe we should stop doing it. I'm a firm believer that we should work on our own game and let the opposition worry about us rather than preparing to shut them down. How many times have we looked out of ideas, lost and disjointed when attacking? That to me points to a lack of preparation in how we want to play.
  2. Have we had the obligatory 'getting sold in january so we dont want to risk him' conspiracy theory yet? Big blow losing him for so long, I don't think we have another midfielder who can do his job. Maybe Marveaux could step in and shine? Amalfitano is the only other one off the top of my head as Bigi and Anita seem to be more defensively minded.

Exactly, it training was geared towards playing our game instead of how to stop whatever opposition we have then it wouldn't be a problem.

Team vs Brugge: Krul; Tavernier, Colo, Williamson, Anita; Bigi, Marveaux, Tiote, Obertan, Sameobi; Shola. Team vs West Ham: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, S Taylor, Santon; Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Gutierrez ©, Ferguson; Cisse, Ba Only two players played the full ninety minutes of both games and we were playing at home so no travelling. Saylor played forty two minutes vs Brugge, Cabaye played eighteen minutes. It just doesn't wash for me.

You cant be too careful after we let Masterplank hang around for so long. Innocent until proven a complete mentalist bellend I say.

Good lord, and we wonder why the unwashed never venture over here. Baptism of fire I suppose.

Does seem a shame that we have posters from so many other clubs and nobody from our closest rivals.

My god, are our memories really so short we're thinking of Obertan as a decent option. He's shown nothing in the PL, he's been a useless liability everytime he's been on the pitch. Just because you haven't seen him for a while doesn't mean he's got any better.

Bit more worrying that he sees Obertan as a potential solution for something.
  12. I think you're not long out of it. Goodbye Jack Flash.
  13. We'll very likely win with a weakened team playing. Southampton next week is infinitely more important and should be the immediate priority. For what? A chance of a trophy vs a chance to be also rans in a three horse race? Note the post I responded to initially. You stated that the Southampton match is more important. So, again, where do you think we'll finish in the league this season? As I've already answered that, here's one for you. If we played the kind of team we usually play on Thursday, do you think we'd win? You haven't answered so i'll defer your question until you do. Where do you think we'll finish in the league this season? So boring, man. Needlessly childish. No answer, shocking.

  16. A red card would put someone out of the next round, wouldn't it? And a potentially far more important game against Bordeaux. Give your f***ing head a shake man. Should we leave players out of premiership games in case they get suspended? More drama queens. I give up. If anyone thinks this game is going to make or break our season then they're incapable of reasoning. We're 4 points clear of 3rd and we're doing just fine with the "kids" playing. Meanwhile we're spiralling out of control in the league. Priorities, innit. Ask yourself, numbnuts, has this rotation policy aided our form in the league? Do you think we would have done worse in the competition we have no chance of winning if we had played our first team in the competition we have a chance of winning?

That's a whole wall of bollocks. Go look up Bobby and KK's records after european games. We're not even playing the same team ffs. Crap, start to finish.

A chance of a trophy vs a chance to be also rans in a three horse race? Aye, that's EXACTLY the position we're in going into Thursday. Some drama queens in this thread Where in the premiership do you think we'll finish this season?

  21. God knows. Chasing a goal so we take off our right back, move our left back over, drop our right footed central midfielder into left back and bring on a central defensive midfielder. It's like football musical chairs.
