We are nothing like them though to be fair and neither is our business model Spending nothing > Gambling millions and losing Edit - I would also contribute. You can't base your view of an entire club on the social media presence. There are some really sound Sunderland fans who I am happy to have a drink with

... I hate it when they quote Nelson Mandela

This post on RTG just about sums Sunderland up as a place ‘I’m 37 my mum is 52 and my gran is 66, will any of us be around to see premiership football at the SoL?’ So your mother had you at 15 and her mother had her at 14. I can only assume he has a 24 year old who in turn has a 12 year old.

But also the blight of inevitability. Will look a bit daft when they score

Was at that game. Kenny Wharton, they were not happy

That is class See a bird from my form at school out last October. Got chatting to her a bit and somehow got onto football. Turns out she’s a Toon fan and I’d never realised. Her reason?.... “Yeah course I am. Jack Colback is my cousin.” She then started waffling on about him having a rough time of it, but he loved the club etc etc. I made up some excuse and just walked off. I think I would have made her cry if I gave my opinion on him and like f*** was I lying and pretending to like the snivelling little shitbag. My daughter knows Robbie Fowler’s daughter, really funny kid. Denies she is his daughter when asked, can’t be @rsed with the hassle

I want massive lugs too..............

That is just pathetic, the clown who told a builder he would lose work if any of his men wore Newcastle colours, the same guy sent a taxi away for the same reason and has a shit number plate and picture of Shearer in his bog pan. Says he is not bitter...
-
If Boro beat them in the upcoming derby doesn’t that make it 6 in a row. f***ing hell they literally have nothing
-
That’s Sanchez still trying to get out of his pocket man! Not his biggest fan due to his woeful distribution but you can’t argue that he has made us more solid defensively since his return
-
Or about £1.10 for every man, woman and child on the planet
-
Klopp was right about him, sometimes you just need to try and play through the pain. Not in this case as a hammy is a nasty one but I get the impression with him that the first sign of a tweak and he’s waving to the bench

Another pen not given against a top 4 side
-
It’s his bloody heart that’s the problem.

Every keeper, defender, midfielder and striker puts themselves at risk of fouling a player every time they take to the pitch. If your argument is why should they go out of their way to avoid an opponent then extrapolate that across the 90 minutes. Imagine a game where no one tries to avoid an opponent, it would be ridiculous. If you condone an attacker 'winning' a penalty by deliberately running into an opponent then would that be a free kick anywhere on the pitch?
-
Because it makes a mockery of the game, some players are better at engineering a foul than others. Vardy, Kane, Alli, Sturridge are all fine exponents of throwing a leg toward a defender, diving and winning penalties. Often the defender has done nothing wrong so following your argument they would not be able to go within a metre of the attacker as it might result in a penalty. Defending is a skill that should not include a 'beware of the cheat' warning. That to me is not what football is about and it shouldn't be considered a virtue that you can 'win' penalties. Its cheating, some get dug out for it, others get praised for it.
-
The protection of media darlings Kane and Alli despite the fact that they dive repeatedly and win penalties vs the rest of the league who either don't get them or get hammered for clear dives
-
Very harsh to criticise anyone yesterday in my opinion. Clean sheet against Man Utd, with their firepower and away record can only come from 11 men defending well and doing their job well. He works his trolleys off and whilst not the most robust he never hides and does what is asked of him.
-
I don't think he got enough of the credit for that towering (albeit unopposed) header that led to the goal. Tremendous leap
-
I think he was genuine in his praise which surprised me

And a statue while we’re getting carried away Just the one? Deserves 4 I reckon, one at each side of the ground. And a testimonial
-
Nope, ref saw it and deemed it a yellow, nothing more will be done

And a statue while we’re getting carried away

And some flowers for his missus, I understand that’s pretty classy
