why are man city playing hey jude

have spoken about Murillo before but he’s the absolute ideal profile for our LB/CB hybrid role imo. Great on the ball and rapid once up to speed too.

feel like Lewandowski should retire
-
Our game was on TNT so sky can only show one minute of coverage from it iirc

On Ferguson if his stock is low this summer it might be a good time to go and get him. Not sure what's happened since that hat trick but I already like him a lot before that. Gives me Shearer vibes.
-
It was a good pass but I think Barnes should've shot there . Seems pretty much guaranteed a goal when he shoots from that position.
-
not checked the validity of this but absolutely wild if true

When I think about what our weaknesses are it's definitely not scoring goals... it's probably controlling games against lesser sides who've constantly managed to create chances against us on the counter this season. I think we need an athletic DM for those games who can cover a lot of ground on transitions and also some pace in CB.

he really did not want to give that

this refereeing ineptitude is awfully one-sided

7 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses when he's started in the PL this season.

This Kerkez lad looks amazing

The Anderson/Barnes partnership reminded me of the peak Willock/Joelinton combination. They were great together.

Yeah, Isak was always on Bissouma/Hojberg which left both Barnes and Gordon free to press/intercept and just generally prevent them from building up properly. Also left them free on the counter which was lethal. It was great to watch.

Gerrin. Bournemouth are creating chances for fun down Kambwala's side. I think the kid might be a bit shit.

Bournemouth are looking good here. On top in general play and leading, which almost certainly means Man U are going to win.
-
We were defending man-to-man so Anderson was defending wherever Porro was. Both their full backs come infield sometimes so sometimes we were defending in a back 4, sometimes it looked like a 5. It was some seriously good coaching from Howe and the team to drill it as well as they did.

He's way more involved than I expected him to be based on his Leicester days. Rodgers must've been tactically instructing him to stay out of the game.
-
I mean his man in the man marking system was Maddison and you barely saw Maddison at all in the first half and certainly not in threatening positions. Thought he was really, really good out of possession.
-
On recent evidence I think there's an argument that Gordon might be just as good on the right as he is on the left anyway tbh!

said it in the pre-match thread but he really isn't doing anywhere near as good a job as the media make out. Out of both cups at pretty much the first opportunity, no Europe to contend with, and yet they're still only 5th in the league behind Aston Villa despite all the praise. Very happy that we gave them a good humbling today.
