  1. Guardian and Times both go with £180k-£200kpw
  2. Rather be them than PSG.
  3. Hes 26, and fee has been given as 15-20m. Question marks over his recovery from injury though and the subsequent impact it’s had on his game. Plus he’ll want big wages I’d have thought.
  4. Around £150kpw I think?
  5. Because the condition of sale was that the price was inflated in order to make them debt free?
  6. And the facts are that we have already spent a load of money on signings, both in Jan (the highest in Europe iirc) and already so far this summer. With undoubtedly more to come.
  7. Our Ekitike bid was accepted, and also publicly stated by the Reims owner as being higher than the Milan bid. If the player doesn’t want to come, it’s nothing to do with negotiating. Our owners still have to work within FFP, which due to the previous owner has been neglected beyond belief- as such any wealth is meaningless because we can’t just go out and spend it. But you probably know all this.
  8. Or that they believe that we have Saudi money to burn?
  9. The transfer only occurs when the obligation kicks in, so it won’t count towards FFP whilst we are currently under small sponsorship levels. The idea being, that the transfer occurs in a years time when we (hopefully) have bigger sponsorship and income so the figure is a smaller percentage.
  10. ‘Debt’ itself isn’t included in ffp, but ‘financial costs’ are. Surely by not having to repay interest and loan repayments by now having no debt, Chelsea are infinitely better off for ffp, not to mention actually having that same extra cash to spend other than on those repayments?
  11. Usually mediocre as you say, but Neymar, Cucarella, Deulofeu, Digne have all done fairly well off the top of my head. Small list though. Arthur too, maybe?
  12. His wages far exceed our alleged current structure. He signed for Barca on £230kpw. Admittedly, he may well have had to take a cut like a lot of their players.
  13. Plus, undoubtedly, PSG have paid the agent what we wouldn’t.
  14. Sounds like a permanent deal? Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot explained that although the fee PSG have offered is lower than Newcastle's, they could not stand in Ekitike's way. "We didn't quite reach the sum offered by Newcastle but Hugo Ekitike has always been respectful towards the club," Caillot confirmed to l'Union. "We are happy to allow him to fulfil his dream."
  15. Yawn. You’re making an argument where there isn’t one.
  16. Not saying that either. Just that they won’t be the European powerhouse they are now, in the future.
  17. Nope. I said short term it’s an ok move for him. Long term, PSG will be a third rate European team as the French league is simply not competitive and the Qatari owners will soon give up. Nothing about CL with us. You’re making stuff up.
  18. Don’t know if it’ll be that soon, but it’ll happen at some point. The owners are getting nothing at all from their multi billion investment other than French league trophies. Next to nothing back financially due to the mess French football is in and nothing in Euro sporting success.
  19. Nope. The owners of PSG have decided to cut their spending and invest significantly less in transfers, youth or otherwise.
  20. Bizarre. Where have I said that?
  21. I’m arguing nothing. Short term, PSG is a fairly good move for the lad, albeit I can’t see him getting much game time (certainly not many starts). Long term, the French league looks like it’s going to implode, and noises coming from PSG about their new strategy sounds like the Qataris will pull the plug to move someplace more worth their while. It’s a fact that most decent French players play outside France- simply because the league is poor in relation to Italy, Spain, and yes, the Premier league.
  22. France has the highest percentage of players playing outside its own country in the world, other than Brazil, for a good reason…
  23. Saw the ‘Saudi’ kit referred to as the ‘Third’ shirt in an official email earlier. First time I think that I’ve seen that, as normally it has been the ‘alternate’ shirt. Second shirt incoming soon?
