  1. He’s been shite. No better than Lascelles. Living off reputation from the previous season.
  2. Can see the point, but just don’t personally equate their transfer business with impressive- I wouldn’t take any of them for us other than Buendia and Coutinho (unless I’m missing someone). All about opinions though, I guess.
  3. Impressive? Like who? For every Coutinho or Buendia, they have signed a Leon Bailey. Even Watkins hasn’t been great and was vastly overpriced.
  4. 2019 and 2021: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1380831/Tottenham-transfer-news-Son-Heung-Min-Real-Madrid/amp https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10071855/spurs-star-son-transfer-napoli/amp/
  5. It doesn’t. “In 2020, Fun 88 extended its contract with Newcastle in a "long-term" agreement.” https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/newcastle-united-fun88-betting-shirt-sponsor-puma-extended-deal/ https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-extend-sponsorship-deal-18626397
  6. I can’t either, but it’s going to be there until we get an alternative that buys the contract out.
  7. Absolutely zero chance of no sponsor. We need one for FFP going forward, even if it’s Fun88. The only way Fun88 won’t be on there is if another company has bought out their contract with the club. Fingers crossed.
  8. He’s not costing that if/when they go down.
  9. Lodi- he and Bruno both played in the same team in Brazil.
  10. The subject of Martinez becoming our manager seems so long ago now, thankfully.
  11. Presumably tighter fit, sleeve sponsors, under arm aeration, possibly different material?
  12. Well, going off that green and white one, it’s pretty certainly going to be a Saudi shirt sponsor now, I guess…
  13. Barca have an even stronger chance though… https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1606805/Leeds-transfer-news-Raphinha-Barcelona-force/amp https://www.goal.com/en-in/amp/news/raphinha-barcelona-transfer-brazil-winger-ignores-leeds/blt2743d4eb6eb86af7 https://barcauniversal.com/barcelona-are-giving-their-body-and-soul-to-sign-brazilian-forward/amp/
  14. I would say yes? “Only a club's outgoings in transfers, employee benefits (including wages), amortisation of transfers, finance costs and dividends will be counted over income from gate receipts, TV revenue, advertising, merchandising, disposal of tangible fixed assets, finance, sales of players and prize money. Any money spent on infrastructure, training facilities or youth development will not be included.” doesn’t mention playing or non-playing wages, only those of the clubs employees.
  15. https://princerupertstower.com/2022/02/26/everton-dominic-calvert-lewin-late-injury/amp/ according to the above link, DCL was injured for 8-10 weeks with a quad injury. He’s also had a groin injury. He’s now currently out again with a quad injury. The Athletic claim he’s missed large chunk of this season with hamstring issues (and had similar issues last season).
  16. DCL has played 15 times and scored 3. Haaland has played 29 times and scored 28.
  17. From April 2022: https://theathletic.com/news/everton-striker-dominic-calvert-lewin-to-miss-merseyside-derby-with-quad-injury/DcAKcvcWUWN3/ “Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss Everton’s next two games after picking up a quad injury in training. Calvert-Lewin has already missed large chunks of the campaign with injury, suffering hamstring and toe issues.“ so he’s had hamstring issues last year AND this season.
  18. Tarkowski has been as shite as Lascelles this year. His time has passed.
  19. Fuck no. No better than what we have now.
  20. November https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10693705/amp/Unpaid-sum-preventing-Ashworth-joining-Newcastle-resigning-Brighton-post.html
  21. Plus sales.?? Wonder if they’ll take Gayle in part ex?
