We've looked pretty decent today apart from the 1st 10-15 mins when the couldnt deal with the press. Really good to see, and we're still a few short of full strength. Gray looks very good for them as well.

Maybe naively, I still think he stays this summer. Problem is, now we're at the point where we need to get a striker in that can start games as soon as they join, with Isak not taking part in pre season. Wissa is also not taking part for Brenford, so we'll need someone who has been getting up to speed.

I thought it was decent performance, considering we only really had 4 starting outfield players on the pitch at any 1 time (depending on who you pick as the starting CBs)

Hopefully that's planned rather than a new injury

I know the picture above tells a different story, but everything else I have read about the UEFA related party stuff, is that they'd only discount it if it was deemed outside of fair market value. Which if that is the case, it means Liverpool bid 130, we'd be able to add 10 mil on and be fine.

Howe is a very clever man. Last season with the Gordon rumours he must feel he dealt with that in slightly the wrong way, and has tweeked his approach this time. He'll never say 100% because he knows how unpredictable football can be, but him being confident, while also being one of the main men in control makes me not worry, at all! We fly to Asia in a few days, if he doesnt travel, then we start to panic.

I find the whole “unambitious signings” take a bit odd to be honest. Every player we’ve been heavily linked with so far is going to clubs that are either historically bigger than us or paying well beyond the budget we've set. That’s not a lack of ambition — it’s just the reality of where we are financially. If anything, we’re trying to shop above our current means, and that comes with the risk of missing out unless we sacrifice elsewhere, which wouldn't be smart. We will get what we need. The strategy seems to be going early, which unfortunately exposes us a bit — makes it look like we're losing out — but it also forces other clubs to play their hand early. That could seriously limit their flexibility later in the window. If something interesting pops up toward the end, we might actually be in a better position to pounce than most. Also, missing out on a top 9 or 10 doesn’t worry me that much. If that money gets redirected into a quality CB or CM instead, I actually think it raises the team’s overall ceiling more. A better-balanced squad >>> one marquee attacker, for me.

We love to panic. If he wasn't seen for the rest of the video, then id get it, but he literally trains with the rest of the squad.

To me it looks like lots of team are pivoting to a type of 4-2-3-1, which i can see us doing as well (at times). The problem we have is how going from a 3 to a 2 midfield takes away from our strongest asset in the last few years. It also doesn't then mean we have 1 of best 4 man attacks in Europe. If Howe can make it flexible to mid game tweaks without making a sub then were going to be quite the problem to deal with.

Seeing the debates in where he'll end up playing long term, and I could genuinely put together a good arguement for any of the CM positions being his best. Maybe im missing something, but his all round level is outrageous for someone his age with very little 1st team experience. He needs to get 1200-1800 minutes this season.
