I've just asked a Burnely supporting mate about him and the link. Below is his exact response: "Flapper Trafford? Nothing seen other than paper talk." Make of that what you will
-
Started slow, but grew into it, got some lovely blocks, used his body will, showed a decent turn of pace a few times and also did a few of those interceptions where he reaches around to get nick the ball away. Looked more panicked on the ball then I've ever seen him at times today, but still hit a lovely cross field pass. Good to have him back, Tuesday likely comes to quick, but if he doje everything needed and a little on top he could go again. Sometimes you come across athletes that are just a different breed, be could be one of those.

What a weird disagreement. When I saw Isak coming off and it was Osula coming on it annoyed me, but after a couple mins seeing that Willock was tasked with tracking Bissouma and then breaking when we get the ball, it made perfect sense. Willock was better suited to that role then Oshla was, if we were planning to pump it long and try to scrap for the ball, then Osula would have been the better option. Willock basically played 10 off the ball, then transitioned to a 9 when we got it.

RW is the only position we could do that for tbf. We'll need to sell to spend 100mil, but I'm sure by the time we need to we'll Almiron, Longstaff, Targets and maybe Trippier all gone for some kind of fee.
-
I think we'll finish 3rd. Chelsea are such a weird team, they go through phases of being brilliant and then crap. They've also now got the problem of having played everyone once, so teams won't be shocked by anything they do anymore, then the question is on Maresca to find a slight tweak that works. Us and City will be abit of a mirror until the end of the season getting close to, if not the exact same amount of points in the games remaining. Forest will drop off, when the goals dry up slightly the close wins turn to draws, and I think more teams will allow them to have the ball to stop the transition danger. This is a major chance for us

Will be an interesting team selection, we need to rotate as we looked leggy today. Would be a huge risk playing Botman again as well, but that's for Bunce and his team to decide. I think we'll see Joelintoon/Willock double pivot on the left come back, Tonali 6 and Longstaff RCM with Gordon Right. Kelly for Botman being the other change.
-
I rate Miley very highly and hope/think you're right. Would be great to see him play a few games to see where he's really at with his progression.
-
I've taken to calling him and Bruno the Maestro and the Maverick. These 2 together are class and a little more time together they'll be elite. Hate to say it, because I love Joelintoon, but adding another of a similar level would transform us again.
-
That felt like another keep them at arms length performance 2nd half. Most annoying thing today was that we kept playing back into dead ends, rather than playing into the space.
-
Class defensively today, sometimes I do wish he'd release the ball sooner, but maybe he looks at Murphy in certain situations and doesn't think he'll keep possession is he passes to him.
-
Yeah, back to Schar and Botman from Bromley, rotate everywhere else. Although, we do have Wolves the following mid week. So, they night hold him back for that.
-
The injury will be fine, but back to back 90s with about 2.5 days in between after so long out is not a good idea.
-
I hate how lopsided this all looks, my anxiety is going crazy because my brain is telling me to be confident, but also realises that if we don't win, I may have to go into hiding.
-
He's benched Maddison a few times recently, maybe he gambled on Trippier starting, so thought the pace of Werner would be a good weapon. Outside of that the illness looks to have taken out Forster and noone else.
-
My nerves have gone from worrying we'll royally mess things up and somehow not to win, to praying that the big man plays well, and comes away unscathed
-
Was expecting Arsenal over this game, but always thought he'd start 1 of the 2 games. The work behind thr scenes for his comeback has been huge.
-
Henry played wide a lot due to him being the younger of the options, but he was always a front man playing wide rather than a wide man who then played centrally. He even talks about trying to break into the France squad, and having to to compete with Trezequet's goals to get in, when he was more of a creator at the time. Pretty sure he also says Trezequet getting picked instead made him think that he had to add more goals without dropping his creativity to get ahead

Because context doesn't come into play with ACLs they're all handled the same, and handled the same way. So, it's lucky we got drawn to Bromley, or he'd maybe he'd not see game time until we get an "easy" game to play. Like I said in 1 of the previous posts, if Bunce says he's good to go, and Eddie deems him the best choice he'll start 1 of the next 2 games.
-
There is no perfect game to come back from an ACL. When you're ready, you're ready. Whether that's 45 mins, 60 mins, 75 mins whatever. You up the Minutes, not the level of opposition. The under 23s and training matches were the test for strength of the knee, now its time to play serious football.
-
Why have we not signed st least 2 players already?
-
He's already been building up, he's back in full training, and has been for a whole, he's played under 23s, and has also has been playing 11 vs 11s against quite likely a strong team in training matches. He was meant to be back on the bench for the last few games, but missed out due to illness. If Bunce deems him good to go, and Eddie deems him the best option he'll start, my bet is the Arsenal game, as that's our best chance of a trophy. Bromley might be the easiest game, but he's more likely to take a random hit in that than any of the others.
-
I think we'll see him start either this or the Arsenal game, and Kelly with start both the other game and Bromley. Both side are in a similar place, as we'll both be missing at least 3 parts of what would be a our 1st choice back 5s
-
We'd need to replace Longstaff if he goes tbf, but it'll be with another hybrid type 1 that can play RCM and RWF
-
Think this is a pretty clear indication that they'll look to move him on.
-
Where has this myth come from that he's made no saves? Fair enough he's not had loads to do, but he's made a couple of decent saves since he's come it. His sweeping 100x times better than he used to, and his distribution takes out a pressing trigger for other teams, which not only means that they can only really go off Burn for a trigger it now, it also means he can miss player out and go into a FB or someone else instead of Pope's short pass the a CB, or kick it off the pitch options.
