Brentford are willing sellers, they're entire business model is predicated on discovering gems and making a profit, much like Brighton. They have little interest in holding on to him, at 28, at his highest valuation. Unfortunately for us, they're sensible in that they aren't going to jeopardise their season by selling without a replacement. I'm confident that if they do manage to get a replacement we'll get him (assuming our interest is still there)

I like stats, they can be instructive but that's for a player I know little/nothing on and not someone I've watched comprehensively in this league. 14 in 34 in a high performing side where a natural goalscorer would leave with 20+. He leaves so much on the table, no striker is perfect but he's warm as hell.
