I don't get this logic, HBA flaws and all walks into a team field Almiron & Murphy. We have to let go of this modern notion of prioritising graft over talent, especially generational talents like Ben Arfa Pep of all people is currently retooling Man City with flair players (Doku/Savio). HBA would slot in just fine for us, the interplay alone with Isak & Bruno would sustain families

Benched for the likes of Guthrie & Perch. Pardew won't see Heaven.
-
'Left foot, right foot, headed goals, pace, great strike, clever runs, tracking back and tackling, nice passes, footballing brain...' Most of these apply to Murphy
-
best player to have ever worn the b&w shirt
-
Not to dwell on this too much but you could apply most of this to Jacob Murphy, I'm not saying they're equivalent so we can leave there. I'm big on technical ability, the likes of Tino, Isak, Bruno, Tonali, Tripps, Schar, Hall amongst others. Players like Gordon who aren't overly blessed with that will tend to have lower floors and subsequently look worse when off form.

4/10 , can't fault them too much as psr is a handcuff working as intended (limiting teams ability to compete with the established big wigs)
-
break from what? He's a young guy not a seasoned vet.
-
Persisting with Murphy and Almiron at RW over the last 3 seasons has been tragic. I don't fault the players for their expected poor performances but rather the scouts/management for not rectifying such a glaring issue.
-
he's somewhat limited as footballer so when the output's lacking it looks worse than it might do with other players. needs to put some work in during the break
-
none of these are footballing traits, it's the bare minimum
-
Weird start to the season, undefeated so far but not one convincing performance to show for it. Hope he can fix the flaws & performances improve post int break.
-
Thought he played well and grew into the game as it went on, inverting akin to Zinchenko in the second half. His comfort on the ball is much needed in this team.
-
A lot of wailing in here
-
He's not in the same tier as Isak or Bruno. Don't want him sold fwiw.
-
Love this signing at the price paid, great raw attributes, a lot of upside.
-
This cope/delusion where some rationalise signings because 'Howe will fix it' always throws me off. Talent ultimately matters at the end of the day & you either like/rate DCL or not (I don't) . A hug & verbal affirmations from Howe won't turn convert from an often injured goal shy striker to a stud, he's 27! Might as well get Martial in since Howe supposedly has a midas touch.
-
£25m to replace Wilson with an equally injury prone but far less effective striker is nuts, especially with ffp means every penny counts. I hope that number's just hearsay, such an underwhelming signing all around, would rather have kept Woods who was basura for us. No issues at the sub £10m mark.

New 5 year contract, and a top level RW (imagine if we'd somehow gotten Palmer or Kudus) to compliment him. Franchise player.
-
Hatem's the most talented player I've ever seen wear the b&w (the derogatory 'street ball' comment ...) Bruno's our best ever CM for me, not particularly close either
-
That’s his strength and weakness, he’s a 7/10 player throughout and will consistently give you that week in week out. Don’t think he has levels above that but nevertheless more than adecuate for what we need atm

Trippier was the catalyst to the turnaround but he’s probably been the next most important player during the run. Already justified his fee.
