  1. Thats it, I've resisted so far but I'm signing up to twitter.....I might be just in time for Barton's online meltdown too. There's a lad at our place who transferred from France a few weeks ago - he could've went to any of our UK sites, so I asked why did he choose Newcastle: "Well, I have favourite football player called Hatem Ben Arfa......". HBA has groupies that follow him round!

'Sunderland is rat infested' http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=700297 Bit of a non-story, so obviously deserves it's own thread. They manage all of 20 replies until..... NETR!
  3. After the match yesterday the missus described the season as roller-coaster, but i didn't think it was appropriate - the highs massively outweigh the few lows. Sure, Spurs, Fulham and Brighton felt shit, but for each one there's 10 memorable 'Get the fck in' moments. Outstanding season all round. If i had to pick a metaphor, its not roller coaster - for me it felt a bit like a magic carpet ride, but one that feels unreal, totally unexpected. Its as if we've hijacked someone else's magic carpet cos they couldn't make it go in the right direction, or they lost the keys, or they just couldn't operate the pedals. They were so utterly inept we simply took it off them and made it work first time. NUFC 2011-12. A Hijacked Magic Carpet Ride.

My dad’s about the same age and I always thought he conducted himself in a dignified manner at work, but I guess I was wrong. Next time I see him I better tell him to tuck his trousers into his socks, jump up and down like a bullfrog with 200 volts up its ring and underperform for about 2 months a year, blaming everyone but himself and his colleagues for his s*** output. Masses of dignity. Masses. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=699566#ixzz1ugDryYp4

I went to Staffs (Stoke campus) The locals have more in common than with the mackems than just an affinity for red and white like. When I was there The Chemical Brothers offered to play our graduation thing in Leek Road. They were turned down in favour of Atomic Kitten and Whetus Wheatus played at freshers this year. Didn't go like. I was at that....collapsed halfway through. I think I might be Wheatus intolerant. Anyway, back on topic: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=699520 That's right, a whole new thread for Alan Smith playing for MK Dons today. As M+S say: There's obsession...and there's mackem obsession.

"The sunderland psychic", "Spirit comedium", "Hilarious spoof character", "Zany hospital radio roadshow" No offence to your employers, but that sounds like just about the worst night out I can imagine, (which doesn't involve kidnap/torture/russell howard). Where the f*ck is it?

    Alan Pardew

Well done Pardiola.... I imagine he's feeling as smug as he rightly looks on that photo in Spain. Glasses at a jaunty angle, arms round the local talent, sipping krug from a pimp chalice. Go on Alan!

"NewcastleGateshead have always screwed Gateshead. They've co-opted their name, The Sage, the Millenium Bridge and the Angel most recently. NewcastleGateshead tourist board ran city tours including the 'iconic' carpark from which Jack Carter hoyed Alf Roberts. NewcastleGateshead would be nothing without Gateshead." Must be why they were so keen to have pics of the Millennium Bridge, Baltic and Sage on the Sunderland World Cup 2018 City Bid page. Makes sense now, they were trying to reclaim Gateshead from the heinous clutches of the mag. Yes, I am Sir Ricky Sbragia.

More selective memory from the macKKKems: Replies…. And the piece de racistance…. All here – until it’s inevitable deletion. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=699313 Falling over themselves to excuse McClean's idiocy too. Classy, classy, classy…..

Kin'ell, how did I miss this?! That other tat’ on his ample gut, ‘Pattaya’. I’m guessing he must be a regular there to get a tattoo? Oh Jesus, I can only imagine how many 6-stone Thai hookers have been engulfed by that monstrous sweating flabby mackem carcass. Those poor girls, their last view of this world was a poorly rendered ‘FTM’ as they gasp their last. Or do the mackems only do ‘classy’ sex tourism? Alternatively, if he goes to the wrong bar and ends up with a ladyboy….. with his pendulous man-tits that could be a very confusing spectacle.

The sh*te they start new threads for man. There was one a while back about some kid who physically couldn't sleep unless he'd been binge drinking, like 10 cans or a couple of bottles of wine, every night. He was clearly an alcoholic, and a few of his posts hinted heavily at mental health issues and severe depression. There then followed a double-figure page thread on the best brand of Nightnurse/Nytol medication he should try. On top of the booze. Classy intervention, SAFC style......
  17. Nah I think he's just saying that we gave them a good game and that they had to fight for their win. Fair do's. Just my Mackem-esque paranoia coming to the fore.
  18. Kompany's twitter comment seems like a bit of an underhanded compliment to me. By 'no leaving st james without bruises' is he implying that we tried to kick them off the park? Still, kudos on using the real name.

Aye come on people, we need to pollute this board with updates every second to be more like RTG and attract more posters. I’ll start some SMB-esque threads to get the ball rolling: ‘Whats everyone having for dinner?’, ‘Recommend me a good remoulded tyre place’, ‘Whats the best finger – index or middle?’, “Iv just dun a git big shit”, ‘Why is it….”, ‘How come that….” “What the….”

On the Foreign football page which links to that each team is given a mini-intro (Man Utd - 'After Scholes', Liverpool 'R.I.P.' etc). Ours is 'La remontee' = 'The Ascent'. We're on the top of said page at the minute btw, as well as a 1300 post thread about us on page 3 which has been locked. http://www.footmarseille.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=18

There’s been a lot said about the intention (or otherwise) of the shot, but you can clearly tell the way he shapes up just as he’s about to strike that he means it. Reminds me of…… Clip of John O'Sheas worst shot ever Anyone know where this guy is now?
  24. "Tioté was felled when the raised arm of Mikel, who did not appear to have seen the Ivorian, struck him on the head" "Despite the ambitions of these clubs there were few indications on this occasion that either would enhance the Champions League." Why? Why do I keep reading this f***ing rag? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/02/chelsea-newcastle-united-premier-league
