If he is to help with recruitment etc this may not be so bad. However it does just seem to be a case of mates helping mates, and is not in the best interest of the club...
Imo the whole refusal to wear the shirt sounds like an excuse that is being used by a player that may be looking for a way out of the club. Similar to when nzogbia refused to play for us again because he was so 'offended' when JFK got his name wrong. I am sure we could simply give him a plain strip without the wonga label and the situation would be resolved, there has to be more to it than the sponser.
The only fair way you could judge shearer as a manager is if he had a full season (possibly longer) and a few transfer windows to make his own changes. Im sure if he wants it he will get his chance at championship level.
It is almost strange that the quiet reclusive mike ashley surrounds himself with outspoken, arrogant and egotistic cunts such as dekka and kinnear. Probably so people like that can do all the talking for him.
Shearer is hardly the only person to question kinnears appointment. Slagging Off shearer is hardly going to help him win over the fans. The only chance he has of making this work is if he keeps his mouth shut, however his ego wont allow him to do that.
What worries me most, is that if pards is sacked in the next year or so, we all know this clown will be his instant replacement. Plus he is so well in with dekka and ashley he would probably get the job permanantly... :scared:
The lack of service to our strikers last season was one of our biggest downfalls, i would be happy with bent, but we need to improve our service, especially from out wide, massively.
The funny thing is, they could finish 10th and he'd still keep his job after what happened with SAF.
I agree that he will be given more time than most top clubs give new appointments, but i doubt he would survive finishing outside of European positions imo.
I was expecting us to make a bid, but no way we will match/improve on 15m. We could get a much better player with a better attitude for much less, so i hope we look elsewhere...
