Decent point considering how bad we looked. The end was a shambles like everyone has mentioned. Jones taking a leaf straight out of Bruce’s book and throwing an extra striker on. We can’t continue to play 3 centre backs who can’t pass. It’s crippling to the whole formation. Im really trying not to be negative but there’s a deep rooted losers mentality that’s been installed in these players going from Rafa to Bruce “ticking over”. Howe has a massive massive job on his hands and im worried we’ve wasted too much of the season to stay up.

Well this feels horrendous... again.

I think we’ll shit house a win today. I’m basing this on nothing at all mind. If we play the same formation/lineup/system and sit off them like we did against Chelsea we’ll lose comfortably but if we press them I think we’ll get an ugly 1-0 win.

I’m not really surprised the club are taking the line that the board were split over who to appoint out of Howe/Emery. Hope’s article said he interviewed better etc etc. I don’t necessarily believe it but the important thing now is they appoint Howe quickly to give him time to implement his strategy. I was really really disappointed after getting caught up with the idea of having Emery as our manager but the reality of the situation is (Rafa aside) Howe will be our best managerial appointment since Sir Bobby. Hopefully he gets enough of a reaction to keep us up.

I wanted Howe as manager when Bruce/Ashley were here as I believed with our squad of players his style could keep us up. I should still really have the same perspective but going from “Emery will take training on Thursday” to maybe Eddie Howe seems like a kick in the balls.

I hope the club are confident and know what they’re doing leaking this out. Some reporting there’s still a lot of work to be done with Howe also under consideration. If they can’t get Emery and we fall back on Howe it’s going to suck.

Looks like the press has been briefed It’s Emery. Would be a massive appointment!
