  1. We should be moving for Nuno already.

It’s all hypothetical but I’m convinced if we’d have started the season with Jones we’d been in a much more healthy position than the state Bruce left us in. Every time I hear him speak he seems miles ahead of what we’re used to. I hope he’s involved still after the new manager is brought in.
  3. I’m in exactly the same place. As soon as Bruce was removed I’m happy for them to make sure they’ve got the right structure in place and get the right man for the job. Assuming it doesn’t go too far past the Chelsea game I’m pretty calm about it.
  4. Disagree about Lampard. The stuff that came out in the Athletic article about how the Chelsea players had essentially no tactics and were told to express themselves is just a newer version of roll your sleeves up. He had one of the best squads in the world and massively under achieved.
  5. Rafa for me if it is at all possible. Given that we can’t pass a ball or defend in any near organised manner Fonseca or Emery would be my next choices.
  6. I like Palace to be honest. Their fan base is is pretty sound, especially on twitter and the atmosphere is always decent. As a club they’ve invested heavily in their youth set-up and tend to move for young exciting players. It’s everything we should have been doing under Ashley to try and bridge the gap to the top 10 teams. They’ve had a solid plan and you’ve got to respect that.
  7. Decent point all things considered but a win would have been massive. Just get Rafa in. He’s the man for the job.
  8. Palace have been good lately mind. They’ve dominated games then conceded shit late goals... hope It happens again.
  9. On the plus side I’m looking forward to seeing to actual wide players off Wilson. It’s a huge change for Fraser too who’s been mostly ignored/shit.

This makes the decision to keep Bruce for the Spurs game even more of a poor one. If you’re prepared to give Jones a couple of games you may as well have given him time to get how he wants us to play straight away. If a new manager couldn’t be brought in before Palace I think it makes sense his first game isn’t v Chelsea either. Hopefully Jones can pull something out over the next couple. imagine if he wins two ?
  11. Shame because I’m really sold on this idea now.
  12. It always surprises me when something like this happens and it shows the amount of football journalist and pundits that seemingly don’t watch the football they’re happy to comment on. Bruce has been horrendous using any metric you care to measure him on and yet he’s got waves of support. They’re even now denying he has much support. It’s absurd!
  13. First game I’ll have really wanted us to win for ages. I’m actually excited for it already.
  14. The relief I’ve felt since reading he’s gone is almost up their with Ashley being removed. There’s only two mangers in my life that’s driven me to a situation where I’ve actively wanted us to lose game so they’d eventually get sacked. Fuck Bruce and Pardew. Hopefully dinosaur mangers are I think of the past for us.
  15. Guess we’ll know if he’s at training tomorrow. Assuming it isn’t another day off.

It shows the task at hand regardless of who takes over.
  17. I’ll look forward to hopefully never seeing this formation/lineup from next week.
  18. I’m being a a bit of a miserable bastard here but the amount of fans walking around with tea towels on their heads is embarrassing and really short sighted in relation to some of the criticisms aimed at our fan base.
  19. Emery would be a fantastic appointment I think. He was given a rough deal at Arsenal and he’s one of the better more realistic names I’ve seen linked recently. He’s worlds ahead of the Lampards, Gerards etc
  20. For me the Bruce interview is exactly why he shouldn’t be here. He represents negativity despite the overwhelmingly positive week it’s been. Rather than talking up the match and the spectacle that it should be he’s droning on, wallowing in self-pity and getting digs in. He’s the underperforming managerial representation of the Ashley era and I can’t wait until he’s no longer associated with us. Jones should have been in charge until they got someone else in. Instead we’ve given this bloke a platform to sulk in for another week or so.
