Feels weird trying to sign good players.

Not looking to incite an argument for or against vaccines here but credit to the club for respecting the players’ choice in the matter rather than hanging them out for potential abuse. I much prefer this than the route Klopp has taken for example.

Him and Trippier in the early part of the window would be a massive statement.

I’m still an 8 or probably closer to a 9 now. The performances lately have been much improved and although we were miles better last night we still only managed a point. I could be being overly pessimistic. I’m trying to look at it as a mini-league with us, Norwich, Burnley, Watford and maybe Leeds but with the games in hand those clubs have, our new injuries and just the distinct lack of luck we’ve had this season I think we’ve given ourselves too much of an uphill effort. We look like Fulham did at the end of last season. What I’m certain about is we’d be nowhere near this mess if Howe was in charge at the start of the season. Even with this group of players. Bruce has got away without the criticism he deserves for this mess.

The difference in quality between those lineups is massive.

Rashford all seems to run riot against us.

If we can do some sort of swap deal to get Berge for Hendrick/Gayle it would be fantastic business. Fill a position we definitely need upgrade and take out some of the squad players who can’t get near the first team.

Why are Man City selling him? It seems like one of those transfer mistakes Chelsea used to make with young players often.

I know the December fixtures were ominous but we’ve really shipped a lot of goals without being all that competitive in the fixtures. I weirdly feel like we’ve improved. I don’t think it will be enough though.

Saying the same as everyone else in here but that lineup is not filling me full of confidence

We did ok but never really looked that convincing. The positive thing is there’s a clear desire to fight from the players, we broke well at times. Fraser looked decent. Overall we’re just a bit shite though. Games like this won’t define our season but given the fixtures it could look really grim very soon.
