The constant debate building up to the West Ham game about who’s better out of him and Declan Rice is weird. Championing who will be better for England... it’s embarassing. It’s definitely Longstaff.

Might be a bit contentious but Man U had a couple of seasons where they were incredible to watch as well as being able to grind the wins out. It was somewhere around the Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov era.

Thanks for posting that, it’s a great read. Impossible to see him not leaving this summer after reading that and impossible not to wish him the best. Hopefully he gets a good move and we get good money for him. I’m guessing it’ll be a hell of a lot more than we would have in January.

Agree with what a lot of people are saying about Burnley they’re awful to watch, it totally killed the game. I know it’s been effective for them but I couldn’t watch that level of hoof ball every week. Special mention to Hendricks (I think) who tried his best to get Longstaff sent off and Tarkowski who lost the plot at the end and was trying to work himself with any of our players near him - absolute shithouses. It was nice to see us grind out the win although we made it hard for ourselves in the second half. All of our centre backs dominated and Dubravka dealt with everything comfortably. Should they have had a penalty? Haven’t seen the highlights and no one really appealed but it looked like one towards the end of the first half. Did anyone else think Almiron looks very raw tactically? We haven’t had pace like that since maybe Bellamy/Dyer on the last man and he looks a threat but he looked a bit lost on a couple of occasions. Did anyone see those Atlanta fans? There was about 6 of them trying their best to get his attention during the warmup and looked buzzing.

Think we might snatch another win tonight. Given Burnley’s form - especially after beating Spurs at home - it’s the type of game clubs of our stature usually mess right up. Ugly 1-0 with a painful last 10. Rondon. Southampton to lose as well for the double feel good factor.

I think you need grafters like him in the team/squad. If we were to move him on in the summer the squad would be worse off for it.

Hoping for a comfortable win day but we don’t seem to get too those anymore. Likely an unpopular opinion but if Shelvey is fit I’d start him with Longstaff because I can’t imagine Cardiff are going to commit. Hopefully Almiron will play too. 2-0 to us Rondon making the difference

Was it a blatant dive? I only read some Forest fans whinging about it on twitter and figured they’d deserved it.

This has aged well in 6 weeks. It’s almost as if over the top sweeping statements are guaranteed bollocks.

I didn’t really think he had much of a bad spell. One or two shaky games followed by those quotes sent people over the top. 5th choice ?

Don’t know if it’s because enough time has passed but I think the few I’ve seen calling for him to be dropped have forgotten how bad both Elliot and Darlow were in the first part of last season and at times in the Championship. Woodman has looked very vulnerable in the games too. Hopefully he calms down and has a solid game v Huddersfield because him regaining form will be essential to us staying up.
