  1. Gutted Sky cut that short, was really enjoying it. Handled the persistent attempts to ask about human rights really well, didn't look fazed at all. Bet Alistair Magowan was desperately trying to think of another question to ask after he said he was only interested in the football aspect.
  2. Absolutely, all players have a clean slate for now. Anybody can potentially become demoralised when your boss is a fat workshy cretin. Going forward, I'm hoping that there will be some pleasant surprises from the existing squad.
  3. What an upgrade. For fairness in comparison, I've chosen a pic where each of them has a ball in their hand...

Just checked. Aye, he's shit. Apparently there would be hell on if Ashley had made this appointment. Thicker than whale spunk.
  5. Can't wait for the massive meltdown when he's named in the starting eleven against Brentford.
  6. Timing would explain why we've been blowing out of our arses all season.
  7. Good to hear the specific mention of a fitness coach coming in with him, because a good fitness coach is desperately needed. Do we currently have a fitness coach at the club? If we do then they have been stealing a living.
  8. When I saw this at the top I expected to see that he'd been given the Norwich job

There's now a thread on RTG where they're trying to justify between themselves why today's attendance will be so low. Particularly enjoyed this supposed direct comparison: Id imagine there’ll be season tickets holders from the big clubs miss champions league matches https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/why-cant-80-of-season-ticket-holders-be-a-d-to-go-today.1563994/
  11. There are loads of pubs in Brighton itself, but it depends what you're looking for. If you just want cheap beer and to be with a big crowd of NUFC fans then there's a 'spoons between the train station and the sea front. If you're after something a bit quieter then there are loads of smaller craft beer places dotted about. They don't do the pub segregation thing down there so you should be welcome anywhere, and everyone is really friendly... Its a really good away day. If you do drink in Brighton though, make sure that you allow plenty of time to get to the ground. Think you get free rail travel to Amex with your match ticket but the trains get choka so don't leave it too late.
  12. Whilst simultaneously telling Emery that his interview was shit.
  13. If it is Howe then so be it, not really an exciting appointment but maybe, given the situation, practicality is the key. One thing is for sure, he'll never be offered a better opportunity than this. It's up to him to make it work and prove his worth.
  14. I've been on a right downer since lunchtime but that's cheered me right up.
  15. Eddie Howe and Garry Monk should form a boy band.
  16. Bookies must be making a killing from this. Odds on every bugger are up and down more than a tap dancer's wig, but that's clearly just due to people piling in every time a name is linked.
  17. None of this adds up at all. Decent journalists supposedly cross-check their stories with different independent sources before running with an exclusive so surely he must have at least verbally agreed to be the next manager, subject to odds and sods being sorted out. He must have been told things that he wanted to hear, the vision and direction doesn't suddenly then become a shitshow during a 48 hour window. Either he's having second thoughts after his chat with Roig, or he's fucking about for improved terms. I'll be gutted if it doesn't happen, but we need someone here who has their heart and soul set on making things a success. Hopefully there is someone who is good enough who falls into that category.

HMS Pisstheleague seems to have sailed into a spot of bother. How incredibly unfortunate.
  19. "Relegation battle experience" is just a positive way of badging a shite, limited manager. Employing a good manager with an overall decent win percentage is surely a much better strategy.
