    Alan Pardew

Alright mate, how's it going? Have a good weekend, aye? Just wondering if any 'limited' players have impressed you recently? No. Should they have?
  2. Gutted. At Primrose valley this weekend and arranged for wifey to take the kids swimming while I sat at the onsite, wifi connected bar, laptop at ready to watch the match with a nice cold one. Waited til the last minute, pressed the right buttons and........"Live streaming banned". Anyway, sounds like the typical game of two halves and the goals looked canny on MOTD. Lovely to be third, if even for a short while and really enjoying everything going right for a change. Long may the good times continue.

I think Pardew will have input to the policy but overall Ashley will have more faith in Graham Carr. Ashley knows very well from his retail success that an excellent buyer makes or breaks a retail company and will have taken that belief into NUFC. I think you will get the odd deal like Ba which was probably a Pardew deal due to his contacts at West Ham, but on the whole Pardew will give his input and Carr will draw up a list of several candidates who fit that position. The "committee" will then pick the main target based on various criteria. Tbh I thought Pardew had already spoken about how this works.
  4. Surely every Ashley understander has been an Ashley hater at one time or another.
  5. Got to try and see this whilst at Primrose Valley with the kids. Challenging
  6. I read somewhere, probably on here, someone saying that they hadn't felt this good about the club since the days of SBR. For me its further back than that to the first promoted season under KK. When I wasnt really expecting great things and was all of a sudden surprised at how well we were doing. Like now, there seemed a great air of togetherness around the squad and staff and you just knew the players were enjoying it and were going to give their all. I thought it would be a long time if ever, that I would once again be like an excited little girl waiting for a match to come round. Even worse if its a home game. I have ceased caring about the point scoring over what Ashley did wrong and what might have happened had he not arrived. Its lovely just to see them all out their paint balling, bonding, having a good laugh and sharing it with us. Feeling soppy for the Toon.
  7. Lol If you're ever going to come out, nows the time!
  8. Aye, we should know one way or the other about Santon on Thursday. Fingers crossed.
  9. You do realise if we get beaten at Wolves, your getting the blame! (secrets is secrets man)
  10. How would you define an Ashley Apologist? Anyone who doesn't instantly and automatically rubbish anything and everything the club has done and is doing? Those that are prepared to give him a chance will do so out of a sense of realism about the club's financial situation, and also can see that some of the initiatives and changes in structure, personnel and strategy may actually have a chance of working. They may even lead to something better than we had when he took over, in fact they may already have led to something better than we had before he took over. But I don't think there are too many people who would try and defend some of his more catastrophic manoeuvres or are blind to some of the crap that still goes on. So yeah by that criteria I'll own up to being gay and out Exactly how I would define it. Gay and proud here too.
  11. The players now know what happens if you refuse a new contract......out the door and off to a lower club

@dannysimpson12 Danny Simpson So glad iv watched 24, looking 2 b half as good as Jack Bauer today
  13. Not sure what you mean Seems pretty obvious that this is a wise business move especially with his replacement already sitting in the wings. Maybe Im just being to negative #goes for sit down#
  14. Spot on, but I think it will be summer. i was taking the piss....were you ? Definitely not. Ashleys will have learnt from Enrique / Barton and wont want Jonas away on the cheap in the summer. Much easier to tie up now than when Marveaux is keeping him out. Before everyone gets too carried away, remember Ashley does want us to be self sufficient. That will require us to make money on players like Jonas.

  16. I wouldn't change a thing tbh. I used to call for David Dein type appointment a year or two back but business relationships are strange things, especially when you have a hands on owner like Mike Ashley. David Dein would fit in great probably with an Ellis Short type owner, but not in our set up. Not to say I like Llambias but he obviously suits Ashley. It now seems a very happy camp from the top to the bottom and that is worth its weight in gold. The only cloud on the Horizon seems to be Ashley's enthusiasm which was touched on by Llambias / Pardew in the recent statement and his absence from the games (not sure if he was there on Saturday). Hopefully he stays interested.
  17. Loving all the "Ashley Apologists" having their fun (at last) , its like some Gay Pride march from the seventies "We're out and we're staying out"!
  18. Don't come sauntering over here dragging my thread back out of the gutter you shit! At some point Chez you will feel free to express the truth in fewer words. The brilliant businessman who owns us is indeed a visionary and very quickly learned a long time ago that the current "business model" is the only viable one in todays climate of oil magnates and crazy wages. Unfortunately his implementation has been ham fisted, accident prone and brutal.
  19. Lee Ryders Monday web chat under way for anyone needing a read or a troll. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/09/26/live-now-nufc-webchat-with-lee-ryder-72703-29484299/
