  1. I still doubt very much it'll happen, the 6 english clubs will probably just wanting to bully premier league into giving them a huge proportion of the broadcasting revenue
  2. I'm not convinced it isn't just a bluff aimed at getting a better negotiating position. The 6 english teams probably want to threaten it so they get to renogiate the terms of the premier league so they get a lot more of teh broadcasting money than the other teams. Honestly the concept of 'the big six' might be the most hateful part. Spurs? Really?
  3. I really hope they all do fuck off mind.
  4. What gets me about this is, have they actually investigated if anyone actually wants this?
  5. Somewhat reassuring to see that the west ham of old are back
  6. I don't actually have a huge problem with VAR being used for that, for consistency I just think it is generally being over used. I don't think it's VAR's fault either that the ref couldn't see that was accidental conduct that didn't impede Son who was clearly trying to buy it. It feels like refs feel like there are hundreds of fouls going on at all times and so when VAR comes along they are always obligated to give them. However I feel if VAR is there for anything it is to check game changing moments like fouls that might be missed. If the ref didn't see it checking it feels within the spirit. How the VAR ref didn't take one look at it and tell the ref on pitch 'nothing in it' and that be the end of it I will never know. VAR was wanted because of refs missing things or getting it glaringly wrong, not because every minor coming together needed 5 minutes of contemplation.
  7. Well not every foul is a yellow card but, it's just a nothing contact. Loads heavier bits of contact will get no foul all game every game
  8. Appalling decision. Utter nothing.
  9. Some pundits seem to think that coaches should be judged purely by their last game. Bruce has made as worse as a football team and has got worse and worse the longer he is there. Completely independent of results we are just getting worse.
  10. Leeds should be accumulating points with draws, they'll never get anywhere with entertaining football

    Joelinton

He definitely has ability but his general lack of finishing really impacts his usefulness as an inside forward and he's definitely not a striker. He is not able to hold up the ball or create in a second striker/no 10 role really either. I suspect in the right system he could be handy out wide if he can be drilled into focusing on beating a defender and squaring balls across goal and maybe his finishing can be polished up, however he's one of those whose occasional flourishes make you think there's a player in there but I am not sure. Maybe in a league with more amenable defending he could be a better player, and maybe he could click and find his shooting boots. The problem is he is one of those players capable of getting in shooting positions so if he was quick on the trigger and accurate by rights he should score plenty, like he did yesterday, however that has thus far evaded him.
  12. On The Athletic I um and arr a bit about keeping subscribed to it. They do decent writers though. I understand why everyone has lost faith in Caulkin, he ended up looking a mug over the takeover and he is compromised by his friendship with Bruce. The podcast is rubbish too. He's still a great writer though when on other subjects. I do think they are critical of Bruce, the article today was depressed about it all. Honestly though what keeps me with it is more other stuff, I can barely read this form I'm so depressed about NUFC let alone too many articles about us.
  13. Athletic saying there are rumours that he's being offered a contract extention in the event of our relegation? Have I missed this? Noone is lucker than him there are no fans. I know a lot of fans in the crowd can be disappointingly licking the boot that's stamping on their face but still think it will be totally untenable with constant abuse waving down on him.
  14. Yeah I agree a bit, but we have so many coaches so incompetant at getting the best out of playres or developing them it's really hard to judge a lot of players from the last 10 years excepting the rafa period
  15. It's at the point where there is something wrong if the players arent refusing to train until he is gone
  16. Probably fair but I think he would be getting a fair amount of stick by now...surely... (honestly the best needle would have been singing rafa benitez still)
  17. Yeah but I am not sure Andy Carroll is really management material
  18. If he is sacked i am genuinely a little sad he never had to face the fans this season.
