I think I read a description of Rod Liddle once as a man perpetually interrupted while eating with crumbs all over his front
-
That's funny cos his penis looks...

Joelinton offers more in the middle and we need that cos Hendrick will be doing sweet fuck all

There may be benefits but people are trying to spin every set back through this lockdown saga as positive news. The hint that a lot of the news has been bad is that we are still owned by Ashley. Equally, this arbitration is to decide if the chairman of the investment fund trying to buy us would have any control over his own investment and so would have to pass a fit and proper person test. If he was going to pass it he would have been submitted for the test already. This all feels very tenuous. I know we all hope it happens but i wish people would stop stringing everyone along with 'actually this failure is yet another win'

It's worse than that as well, remember the Sheffield United game when he blamed his players not understanding his instructions (as if that couldnt be fixed within 5 minutes with instructions from the bench of play higher up). Either he's lying through his teeth (probably) or he can't communicate instructions to players somehow (also probably). Sometimes you have coaches with fairly complex tactical instructions and it is difficult for players to understand, and they need intelligent players who are capable of adapting on the fly etc. Other coaches have less complicated tactics and thrive on clarity of instructions to players and don't believe in overburdening them with instructions (Clough was apparently the master of this, his players rarely got told anything complicated to do and yet it all slotted together when he was successful). With Bruce we have the worst of both worlds. A manager with no interest in complicated tactical instructions but also completely unable to communicate something basic like 4-4-2 to the squad. Quite frankly I am amazed he is capable of language at all now as it seems to elude him when he needs it.

Honestly if we have VAR and i can understand arguments for and against honestly feel the bar for it being called upon should be much higher and mainly reserved for glaring errors or things the ref genuinely didnt see. If you have to zoom in on an offside and bring on milimeter apart lines to check for offside should just be 'umpires call' like in cricket, If ref saw a challenge his judgement should stick, if he missed someone being kicked in the head then use it.

how long before he claims that it is the ever present villain of his reign, rafa, who is the leaker

Bruce gets paid in pies anyway
-
Have to be odds on for the drop now. Completely avoidable by the club. No excuses either, they spent the money and they kept a shit coach and he's crashed us down.
-
We have so many injuries honestly it all just being bad luck doesnt stick. Its not like they have loads of cup games tiring them out.
-
Honestly those injuries and only a point out of this will be us down. Cant see us winning anything without asm, miggy or callum for weeks until they return
-
What is Bruce doing to them in training
-
Wolves are gash

Kraft and Lewis will both get absolutely rinsed.

Having a go at a team that are comfortably staying up while we are plummeting yeah they're the idiots shelvey honest!

Which one's? Barney Ronay is a really good writer but a miserable, dreary dullard. I'm a Guardian reader/listener and it produces a lot of great content, but that paper was always going to shit all over the concept of this takeover. When a story like this comes along, taking the piss out of a club/fans is just a bi-product of asserting/emphasising a political position. Same, but its just utterly rancid patter. Big political scandal, ooh, yeah, let's tweet something to windup fans of a club that were subject to a takeover saga 8-10 months ago for shits and giggles. Just fuck off. Absolutely, Ronay has written some great stuff sometimes, but the guardian has some total blindspot at times for the north east, when mentioning of us a total lack of even an attempt to understand newcastle fans. Such a london centric paper sadly. And i say that as someone i think referred to as bellend for saying i don't think there is hope. Honestly it is a form of defending ashley at this point, lets defer all our anger at our shitty owner cos soon a magical takeover is going to happen. I hope it does, but it gets less likely over time not more. I swear to god it rips me to shreds, i take no joy.

I've said it before and I've said it again. It is absolutely ludicrous that any football club ever be owned by any nation state. It is inevitably corrupting etc. Now since we live in this world of complete cunts owning clubs it is horrendous that we get singled out, but sorry, BUT DAVE DID IT TOO is an argument for school playgrounds.

It's been kaput for fucking ages just it's so crushing that most don't want to give up on it. I was burned by the hope it would happen and I take no pleasure in anything, I have no idea, no inside information etc, but everyone on here has been strung along for so long by people claiming as such. It taking so long is not a sign of likelihood building, it is likelihood fading. The idea that this is final proof that MBS would have control over PIF is silly because it was always fucking obvious he did have control of PIF he's the fucking chairman. The Premier League didn't have to be sherlock fucking holmes to work that one out. I hope I'm wrong. I know this thread has been a car crash. There are those almost gloat about it not happening, and post loads about it. Yeah they're annoying. There are those who claim anyone thinking, hmmm maybe this is a well whipped dead horse is some kind of anti fan who love ashley too. Fuck this splitting of the fans. We should all go down in this death spiral of a club together not turning on each other. Again, I hope I am wrong. But sorry if I hear one more 'the buying side is confident' I will strangle someone.

Man imagine having a manager who improved players at all even a little bit with coaching
-
Watch Bruce blame it on players as if he has nothing to do with it
-
Richard Keys has a head like Lou Carpenter and a brain like Joey Essex. Bit harsh on Joey Essex like
-
Two forwards, big and small. Bruce is in 1995. They'd still be shit in 1995 mind
-
It really puts into perspective how godawful we are under bruce that we are in danger of being caught by this fulham team that have been so bad noone has given a chance of escaping and couldnt get a win for their life for a whole half a season. And yet Bruce still claims he is improving us.
