Regardless of the actions of SA, it is completely and absolutely wrong for a nation state to be buying football clubs in other countries as some kind of international political pawn. Unfortunately so is pretty much everything about how football is run. Clubs should be fan owned in full or even in part, owners should be businessmen with a credible stake and regulated to make sure clubs are protected and looked after. We don't live in that world though (having said that if all the money pisses off to the international super twat league maybe the plebs like us can have some proper well run reform as we wont need the megabucks anymore...) and in the world we live in anyone needs the kind of money that only comes from mega cunts to get anywhere. Asking fans to not enjoy the mega money and investment alone would be unconscionable, the fans deserve some actual fucking joy and good football at the least, and I could never turn down all the investment in the area either. That is why I would be excited for it to be go through, and I know some who seem to think we live in a world where anyone can go through without moral compromise will cry hypocrite at me for being ambiguous over the morals but still excited for it, but I don't envy the kind of tightrope they must live on never to have qualms over anything or allow themselves to enjoy things that aren't totally kosher so to speak. After all that though all my money remains on this never happening, maybe it's mega pessimism, but I am not going to allow myself to get excited again.

It's simple though, he thinks 'front foot football' means getting it to the front as quickly as possible, and he absolutely is not willing to adapt to any development of how teams play. Keeping possession is a waste of time so we don't work on that. The majority of teams we play against can at least pass a little bit, know time spent passing around is time not under threat of conceding goals. He doesn't do the homework on other teams to know where the threats will be (see Lamptey). His failings are arguably least exposed against teams like Man United he expects to lose to cos he can tell everyone to drop deep and run up the pitch on the counter, but when we can't even manage that we have literally no threat. When our entire plan is pass it to ASm to run the length of the pitch... I will concede he is obviously a very good man manager, he has got players on side (though this may be cos they don't have to work hard like they did under Rafa) but the sidelining of Schar and Lejeune illustrates his problem completely. YEs they are higher risk than the other defenders, but the rewards on keeping hold of the ball do defensive wonders. Currently Bruce does not improve us going forwards and he has not made us defensively solid.

We cant ever put anyone under pressure, we just attack and then run back to our own half as soon as we dont score a goal, no sustained threat at all cos we cant keep the ball

Plenty of goals to be had with any sustained pressure on their defense, but we dont do sustained pressure we do one attack from ASM every 15 minutes only.

Diving was bad before but basically the most guaranteed way of getting a goal will always be falling down in the box and var will give you a pen, sooner or later more will get wise to this and makes simulation worse not better

The rulemakers in football really need to have a think about what they think penalties are for. If we are going to be so pedantic on so so fouls around the box how does it fit the crime? Even by law that feels dubious but with this microscope on contact they will always be able to find a reason to give a pen. If this is what tehy want, all fouls always punished then pens should only be for actual goal scoring opportunities, not just minor clatterings on edge of box.

It would work if it was get it to ASM outside their box, it's get it to ASM outside our box and expect maradonna run up whole pitch. He gets closer than he has any right to but no chance.
