Fulham look very much still a championship side, a few times they have had decent counter opportunities and just ended up passing backwards despite good forward passes available. They seem very lightweight.

If there is any hope for Joel it will be now with pressure off of being a no 9 and playing off further forward strikers. Not saying I actually expect any improvement but he clearly is hopeless leading the line but has some technical ability so maybe can reclaim some worth in a deeper role even it is as a sub alongside wilson or carroll operating more traditionally. Still, plenty of players should be ahead of him tbh.

There was one time he was running at a player which maybe showed his limitations as he didn't really threaten to beat the defender like ASM or even Almiron (and Joelinton theoretically given his style of play) is able to, and instead was dispossessed, he doesnt have the trickery. I am very glad to see him showing poaching skills as we have so desperately lacked a striker who actually takes all the relatively easy chances afforded

Wouldn't rule it out tbh, still think if we end up in a rut he will just get more and more negative. He can't change the course of games well and a lot of teams that hold the ball a lot better than west ham will probably just starve us of chances without too much difficulty. What I will i suppose give him credit for is that he clearly is gifted at keeping players on side and happy, and while we will never be as disciplined as we were under Rafa to have an airtight defense and plan for every eventuality, the players do give it a good go on the pitch. Media loves grafters (and likes to patronise us and other northern clubs) as just wanting teams to work hard and so this will get way over praised. What he won't do is ever tactically outthink any other manager, or make a sensible sub, or give a technically accomplished foreign player proper time of day. It'll probably be enough, but do think, like if we'd come accross Leeds judging from today we'd be absolutely hammered and Bruce would be insinuating Bielsa was an illegal immigrant or something.

No was fine, if we must have bruce ball that wasn't terrible. there is a ceiling to what can be achieved but would be silly to moan. Wilson looks the kind of poacher we've lacked for a while (tho obvs very soon to judge) and just were total pain to play against with carrol trying to give them all head injuries and our midfield harrassing a lot.
