Brucey will probably just say that he is happy to see our proud english lad maguire do well
-
When we are a bruceball side with two competant penalty box defenders in fernandez and lascelles we should be conceding from corners ffs. Yeah it's now AT LEAST WE TRIED sort of game.
-
shelvey offers absolutely nothing defensively, he is as bad as colback for clattering players uncessarily from behind conceding dangerous free kicks and getting pointless cards. It's why Rafa lost faith in him. He does offer stuff going forward but just so untrustworthy if needed defensively
-
Hahaha Liverpool. Seriously though there does need to be an umpires call thing like in cricket for those incredibly close var offside calls. Isn't it meant to only be called on for clear and obvious errors?

Whenever camera cuts to Ancelotti he does a perfect reaction gif
-
An area I have to give Brucey credit for is that the players genuinely do seem to like him, however I do worry this is basically because he doesn't actually make them do the drills and hard work a proper manager does...
-
He was neighbours with a friend of a friend, and they said he was a really sweet nice lad, I even went to a match with some free tickets he had handed out once. Shame it didn't work out.

Likely explanation is that it really should have happened but the PL changed the goalposts. I know there are explanations, and I'm not suggesting that they weren't (and aren't now) genuinely supremely confident, but I just have lost hope that anything positive can happen and they will continually run up to obstructionism at all junctures
-
Well they may have expected rejection then accepting the proposals half way so both sides can save face and still end up screwing everyone. What's sad is the sort of taunting of the lower leagues with oh look we were willing to give you this much money but the other mean premier league clubs voted against it.

Yeah I've worked with a few, though also happy to report one changed his mind with the last women's world cup so there can be progress.

I have seen RLC be good, but may have been ruined by Chelsea, decent periods on loan then years lost with few appearances and wages too high to go play for a midtable club. Wonder what Crystal Palace fans think of him sicne h ewas a year there?

Not allowed to violently strike opponents. Rules are rules. I'm not arguing that red, but if it is a red then Lamela should have been sent off too. In fact Lamela's was much more forceful. Yeah but people get away with those all the time cos it's better disguised as jockeying for position. Not defending it, its kinda embarassing all round. However you should also expect dirty stuff playing against a mouriho team and the players need to be disciplined. On the other hand a red card for that minor slap feels very very very much a punishment not fitting the crime
-
RLC would be very good but i think I read he is on £130k a week wages, so long term no chance unless shelvey moves on I guess as only a few of our squad are allowed wages near that or something, loan for season maybe

It's classic man u, bought cos he's famous enough to sell some shirts, and probably will be ok but hardly actually improves them as their front line is actually pretty good. Spent all window chasing a wide player not on sale to try and prove they want to spend big money and instead cash in on a famous face for the dressing room to try and placate fans towards the deadline. The thing is they are not actually far off having an exciting young team that could form a very strong foundation for good things, but they undermine it continually by indulging their 'star' players or faffing around in transfer window trying to bring in ones, failing then panic buying.

I briefly get happy for result then realise will have to process Bruce crowing about the free flowing attacking football he has got us playing, and that under rafa we would never beat Burnley
-
Its more like Bruce showing off against another proper british manager for a proper 4-4-2 off is kinda the parrallel universe where Bruce is an alright manager in that he has absolute no important impact on the game whatsoever
-
Hendrick is not much of a winger, reminds me a little of when Barton played there without anywhere near the demonstrable end product but in so far as he doesnt really have pace and any capacity to beat a man, just is there and looking to launch balls in
-
My god was that a commentator acknowleding that fans might be aware that results might be non representative of performances and may have a good grasp of if a side is playing positive attacking football or hot garbage? THAT CANT BE ALLOWED
-
Its more like we're up against a similar team without even a ASM. Burnley have no pace or creativity so we can defend okish against them, and they arent coached to deny us the ball so its just one side attacks, loses ball other side attacks etc.
