Supporting is not always going to every game. I won't stop 'supporting' Newcastle if Rafa goes, but I will stop giving Ashley what I can and wait for the club to one day recover back to what it should be, or at least just run without malice really.
I don't think rafa goes through teh motions, it's not in his blood, he will have prepared. The atmosphere will however have affected the dressing room and will probably wilt.
It's not the fans fault, and neither can i fault anyone for going to the footy match, it's part of the texture of the week and part of peoples lives. On the other hand nothing would broadcast the state of the club louder than empty seats at st james park.
i do think it's the ashley plan, get in premier league, make sure have a cheapskate shit manager, get relegated, spend a little hire a better manager, get promoted, piss off decent manager make him leave, hire shithead. Repeat.
Yeah but, if he goes, that little bit of hope that we may have some fun under ashley will have gone. Rafa joining in a way was the cruellest glimpse of having a properly run club could be only to have it ripped up. Ashley could nick Conte from Chelsea and I don't believe we'd achieve anything anymore anyway. Ashley will get us relegated, then spend a little money, hire a half decent manager get us back into the league, get rid when he wants money and rinse and repeat. Forever.
Honestly would support a campaign to get as many home game abandoned as possible. Get the club demoted, ruin any cash flow ashley can get out the club.
I just hope people stop going. Will be depressing as hell if the club staggers on in premier league under some ashley stooge with 52000 week in week out.
Can't imagine how i'd motivate myself to support the club at all if Rafa goes. Certainly never attending a game till Ashley is gone. There is no hope till then.
