It's going to be fucking awful when Vardy retires and becomes an endless football cliche spouting pundit
-
Nah Merson says Mike Phelan is a better choice What a f***ing idiot You could probably hire Merson as director of football sort of then do literally the opposite of all his suggestions and do pretty well
-
Those tackles absolutely need to be discouraged severely. Imagine watching your kid on the receiving end of that in sunday league. Head injuries being treated seriously isn't being soft.

Yeah no chance goal down and down to 10, had it still been 0-0 could have gone backs to the wall defending and tried to nick a goal late but that wasn't an option. Harsh perhaps, and I don't rate Liverpools defence much but really shrug that one down to the red card that was fair imo but bad luck considering lack of malice.
-
Such a shame the red ruined the game (it was definitely a red though) had good potential till then. Still City look very good going forward, think Liverpool rested for midweek rather than even try with 10 men though, they could have gotten at them a bit even to keep teh scoreline a bit more respectable

Good goal from the twat

Kinda think that Sane should actually have been put to death for that awful tattoo of a goal in a crucial game they lost
-
This liverpool team are like a bad fifa player (me) who just holds down close down at all times and gets baffled by opposition through balls
-
Why are they booing Milner? Thought he left when he was basically no longer needed or wanted?
-
Thing is I don't think they are particularly good together tbh As partnerships go anyway. Yeah not quite natural. Oh damnit Guardiola I put jesus in my work fantasy football team and was all excited he may get a hat trick now.
-
Ignoring the controversy for now, as much (often justified) flack as Guardiola gets, it's nice when a manager sees the old two very good strikers in form dilemma and finds a way to fit both in the team, rather than the modern view of only ever playing one striker especially against dangerous opponents
-
Debatable red card aside, do we ban overhead kicks then? If you kick someone in the head then yes. If it's not endangering an oppenent, no. s**** comparison. You could still endanger someone without actually kicking him the head, off a ball coming from a corner like. It is, like many things, ref's judgement call as to if the player is out of control and reckless with the heads of the other players around him. Most overhead kicks I don't think qualify for that.
-
Basically asking for refs to be biased to the opinions of the crowd isn't it?
-
Consistency will always be an issue like.
-
I think the answer is you can't challenge with your foot that close to an opponents head at that speed full stop. You can say it's soft and all but plenty of athletes have died to head trauma. If that doesn't qualify as 'endangering the safety of a player' what on earth does?
-
Red for me, not that its not harsh, no malice in the challenge and of course you want players to challenge for that. But sorry high flying kick to the head can have very serious medical repercussions so it's difficult for me to think that should be considered a fair challenge. Of course the issue is with consistency of the high boot rule being replied. Scorpion kicks and the like technically should then be outlawed but that quickly gets ridiculous. I don't however think we can ignore boots and heads flying towards each other. Of course accidents can happen particularly if the player is falling and the head is in an unnatural position, but to me that is always a dangerous tackle.

It still kinda makes sense but it's also poor form cos if you hear half the sentence you may think they're starting, so why not just, starts, and on the bench.
-
he's gonna get fucking injured for the season now isn't he
-
If he is that's one of the worst attempts at being discreet about it or could be nothing too it not really any ones business
-
Thought it odd someone like Arsenal or Liverpool weren't in for him, maybe had been lined up by Juve for ages and not going anywhere else
