Yeah starting to turn on Santon here, needs to be further back. What is going on with Cabaye though...
-
Yeah come on Cabaye, someone throw a bucket of water over him
-
Sagna is having a blinder
-
Aye not sure what's going on with Cabaye, ever since Man U game when he was magnificent seems to have gone downhill. We need to absorb their attacks a bit better further up the pitch.
-
Was Santon's fault somewhat, needs to be a bit less reckless but has the pace to recover at times if he just was a bit further back, also keeps ball better in possession, but needs some discipline.

I LOVE YOU BEN ARFA

to be fair Walcott getting injured happens about 4 times a game
-
Sagna is all over Santon

playing this close to the wind...

Cisse is still adapting, he'll come on in second half and score

Not a bad idea, in principle actually, we may have to play on the counter, not like totenham mistake where 4-4-2 was a suicide mission, bolster midfield, fill side with speed. Still it is Obertan...

Can't say I'm massively optimistic myself, momentum is with Arsenal, and RvP is well able to score past us a lot. Not too pessimistic either, if we can put in a better performance than we have for a while I'd settle for that.

Comparing is a zero sum game, Messi does things no-one else can do and is beautiful to watch, Maradonna was brilliant too.

City really shouldn't need to. It's not like chelsea where they need desperately new players but can't afford to, City have plenty. They could easily buy up lots of prospects stick them in their new academy and be sorted fine for the future. They should perhaps nab a new wide player and a new defender or two. Yes they are overly reliant on Yaya toure atm which is probably Mancini's biggest concern, but unless Xavi comes on the market doubt they can replace him like for like. He's been magnificent all season, player of the season for me.

Still time for Man U to slip up though. If they win the league though it's pretty pathetic, a team torn apart by Athletic Bilbao...(credit to AB but for 'best league in the world' yadder yadder the veneer is starting to peel on the premier league. Competition for 3rd and 4th place is much more interesting though. What's gone wrong with Mancini? He's a good manager imo, overly cautious perhaps but always think that probably that's what you need to be at top level, oddly though poor defending has crept in. I think the team just lacks that nous and capability to push on, assembled as it is. I also wonder if they need to be able to play a more direct game from the wings, they seem to suffer Arsenalitis at times, lots of intricate passing, but defendable, odd cos they were unstoppable start of season. They need some bonafide wide players imo. Silva, Nasri, Aguero all sort of drift around same areas.

Swansea were the better team and I didn't think City were really below their usual. Think Silva's now reasonably extended dip in form is hurting them considerably in the final third, not able to rack up the goals they once could. Swansea are magnificent though, defend through possession perfectly. Disciplined hard working and creative, the real deal, they should stay in the league for a long time and if they bulk out their squad can see them competing for Europe soon enough. They play well enough to do well there, suspect they'd have done better than other PL clubs in europe where premier league teams have been tremendously naive in defense. May seem a bit extreme, but they function so well as a team it's odd that, unlike charlie adam last season with the similar sort of second team following, they haven't had players raved about, despite being considerably better than blackpool. Leon Britten is a magician with the ball though. Has it on a string. Brendan Rogers will go far, and I hope he stays with Swansea and sees it through (or comes to us).

He'd be the worst defensive midfielder of all time
-
Aye that's exciting, it's just a pretty football formation, but hopefully could at least be solid.

If that's true it's a 4-5-1 with ba alone up top and a flat midfield. Disappointing, though maybe learning lesson from totenham defeat.
