Disagree, while he doesn't play more attractive footy, when he's at his best (think he's had a fairly up and down season even just when he's been fit) he frees us up to play better footy and should give us a lot more possession.

Not best pleased with second half, but getting best out of HBA now, seems to be heading in right direction too, though second half still too much hoofball. In fact it seems to be second halfs being the problem repeatedly, need to get that sorted, but overall keep it up pards, was worried about our slump.

Reckon there's a fairly good chance he'll be off. What vaguely worries me about that article is that it'll be the fans fault according to Pardew if he does leave...The fact that he hasn't signed a new contract is a sign he's leaving options open. I think he does seem to wear his heart on his sleeve and love it here, but I've been burned before down that road. I'm not panicing though, if we do our scouting well again we can recover, I shudder to think where this season would have gone without him though.

Santon and Ben Arfa on same wing is probably a recipe for disaster against a good team but against a weaker one could pin them back completely. Having said would probably avoid that combination generally, going to leave space behind them.
