  1. Personally i think the plan's changed after his form at LB towards the end of the season.... i'm sure the plan was to play him at RB and bring in a LB but i think that changed. I will be suprised if we sign Debuchy and we dont see Santon at LB. Possibly he could see minutes at RB but i would think his main position will be LB.
  2. Ah, we can sleep at ease now then..... they are about as reliable as f*cking Cwarr ffs.
  3. Sure i could see that too, but i cant see Santon being first choice RB if we sign Debuchy and rightly so considering how great he is at LB and thats where most of his minutes will come from. Sure he could play some games there but he is'nt starting everyweek there if we sign Debuchy at least not IMO.
  4. So we are going to purchase a RB when we plan to play Santon at RB..... ok then BS imo, kill it with fire.
  5. Agree with that and i like him too although i think Internacional might need to keep Damiao( atleast for this season)if they want to remain competitive because Forlan on his own is'nt really going to cut it. Always loved Seedorf, really class act will probably try and catch some games just because i like watching him play.
  6. Even before he won the World Cups Best Player a bit less than 2 years ago? I knew you would say that, but at club level yeah..... he started to decline around that time and was useless for Atletico about a year before he eventually left.
  7. Shame Forlan passed his sell by date 2-3 years ago....

  9. Santon and Debuchy with Tav and Ferguson behind them.... no more are the days where our full backs cant contribute to the attack ( assuming we sign Debuchy)
  10. Would have thought we would increase that mind. Ok as an opening offer but a bit hopeful if it was genuine Yeah getting Debuchy for similar to what Simpson would go for is practically genius although i seem to remember that 5m euro bid was our opening offer and we haven't increased it yet. For what reasons i don't know

  12. BTW i don't think Hoilett has ever been a number 1 target as far as i can tell..... it seems Debuchy is the no 1 target for RB, De Jong for Forward, Douglas for CB and Anita for DM. De Jong seems dead, but Debuchy and Douglas seems very probable and Anita is still possible too, i'm personally optimistic.
  13. Completely agree, i'm confident we will have 3 or 4 quality additions to the first team in any case and the team will undoubtedly be stronger than the one that ended the season away to Everton. If we still have bought no one come August 31st then i'll start shitting various pants
  14. Probably not but it's pretty obvious we are looking for the RB, CB and Forward who can play wide to improve us and i see no reason why we wont get them over the line. Don't take anything for granted when it comes to transfers, man. Any sort of complications could occur at any time. Even managers and directors are not that certain until it's all 100% completed. True, but i'm trying to remain confident lol i feel we will get the players we need to re-inforce the first eleven and the squad come September 1st and Simpson aside i don't see no one else leaving either.

  16. Think it's more to with his wage demands tbh..... as long as we get a RB, CB and striker and no one important leaves we will be fine and in a better shape than last season. Hoillett has done nothing to warrant earing 50k a week. He has had a good season in a s*** side, but was still inconsistant. Should be looking at around 30k a week, then give him bonuses for clean sheats, goals and assists. Higher bonus for clean sheets to make the little f***er defend. Completely agree, some of our best players dont get that much yet a player who quite frankly probably would'nt start should? We are right to move on from him tbh and i dont consider a wide player a priority anyway..... i consider centre-back, full-back and a striker who can play wide to be priorities. After that if there are deals to be done and it's right for the club then go for it, but i consider those 3 positions i mentioned above most important.

  18. Agreed, none the less i'm happy with the signing would like to see some more in the future like this.... will probably take Kadar's place in the squad hopefully he is better than he is and has better luck with injuries especially than he did.
  19. I have great faith that this one will be good. I'm only trying to wind up my favourite poster on here, I love this signing. My only crack at a pun-tastic post has failed

Although i do look forward to next summer to celebrating him of the wage bill like we did with Smith this summer
  21. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lz9kv1RHHT1r3zat8.gif Time to invest some money in some snipers and take out their ninjas that are stalking Graham Carr. Could'nt agree more, they have had enough joy of poor Graham's hard work already..... infact get a designated Graham Carr defense unit complete with Ninja's and Snipers and be done with it.
  22. Cant say i'm suprised in the slightest, he did seem to be one of the players on the radar if De Jong deal could'nt be pulled off.
