  1. Even if Ba were to go id like another forward that can play across the front line like Ba, one thing we will be in 4 competitions most likely next season so we need more depth. I expect us to move on Lovenkrands and replace him with a young forward that can play outwide and in the centre. That is if 4-3-3 is the long term plan after the Bolton game i am having 2nd thoughts it might not be lol.
  2. As pointed out already Ashley is a business man and he does things which would make good business sense. I think if the possibility for a major profit is there he would go for it for example i think he would pay for 15m for a player if he thinks he can sell him on for 30m or more.
  3. Completely agree with that, no need to start buying players on huge wages that will most likely flop because they dont care just because we have european football. As for the Chron saying we are identifying targets in case Ba leaves...... i see nothing wrong with that if he does have that clause in his contract then that makes us vulnerable so i see no problem with preparing for all possible outcomes. Not sure Dost is the man tho, to me we would need a forward that is mobile and thus play across the front 3 like Ba does and not a #9 but i think we are being linked with #9's because Ba scored alot goals and ignoring the fact he moves across the front line and we seem to prefer 4-3-3 now. I see no reason buying players like Giroud or Dost and stick them out on the wing where it would just be our own version of Chelsea's f*ck up with Drogba-Anelka-Torres. I would want and would expect us to go for a mobile forward that can play across the front line and not just someone who plays in the centre. Would prefer Ba to stay tho.
  4. He also sounds like a nutter but yh unfortunatly he will probably be a little bit out of our price range
  5. All true, Belhanda fits what we need to a tee, but even if we got CL football i doubt we could afford him. I heard PSG are ready to put 20m on the table for him which would eliminate teams like ourselves straight away. Also i dont think there is a clause for Belhanda but i didnt think there was for M'Biwa and Giroud initially and there apparently is so i suppose its a possibility.
  6. I dont like the sound of that, Cruyff is a very smart man and pretty much the reason Barca are where they are today. If Liverpool got him as a DOF i wouldnt be suprised if hes a success. For Cruyff to do at Liverpool what he did with Barcelona, he would need to be there a long time, and even then, it would take Liverpool a good 10 years or so to start reaping the rewards. Cruyff is a club philosophy guru rather than a cosmetic director. Cruyff and Dalglish can work together as long as their remits are totally separate, and FSG decide they can afford to continue struggling for the next few years. I am not saying he would do what he did with Barca, iam saying if he is allowed he can be a success. But that seems very unlikely considering Dalglish is there and two huge ego-maniac's in the same club is a recipe for disaster.
  7. That's true it would be worse than Cruyff and Van Gaal

  9. Yep, he would, in a offensive position of the midfield three. I have seen him play deep too at times, so him and Cabaye could switch roles with relative ease.
  10. Just noticed it aswell, i doubt i even would have noticed if you didnt mention it
  11. A few Man City fans i know don't seem overly impressed. Great for the highlights reel, but loses possession an awful lot. Exactly i feel about him, the getting rid of the deadwood point is key imo if we can get rid of the useless s*** on high wages, get the overall wage bill down and it will give us more room to manoeuvre without breaking the budget or policy. I can see him and/or Milner going to Liverpool for a pretty hefty fee in the summer. I can see that too actually and types of player that they need too. Get the feeling signing them this summer is year too late tho, would have made sense trying to get them last summer instead of Henderson and Downing. But this is Liverpool we are talking about and they never do anything that makes sense.
  12. Thought it was pretty simple. Looked great at the time because it was so far beyond what we were accustomed to seeing from Obertan. Sometimes the easiest pass is the hardest pass, its so easy to try something outrageous like a spin or a dribble or a cross field pass..... Sometimes a simple 2-5 yard pass is the hardest thing to do.
  13. seriously tho, unlike Downing who everyone know is crap ( except for Dalglish) Marveaux is unpredictable to PL teams and has shown genuine quality in France and brief glimpses over here.
  14. Now that i think about it there would need to be occasions where bans cross over to prevent bans taking 3 years to complete like you say. Suppose thats the reason why they do it and not just competition exclusive bans it sounds like a good idea but it would take a lot to make it work.
  15. That's what i was thinking, still he misses 2 league games and with Bosingwa coming in who he is s*** it might help us none the less without actually playing us. That's another point actually, wtf does charges committed in a league game apply to cup games. If you are banned for a league offense then you be banned for league games and league games alone. It's still a competitive domestic match. Got nothing against that tbh. Apart from that it doesn't benefit us on this occasion. Genuine question, do you think FA/League Cup offences should be contained to just being punished in that competition? Yh, iam mainly moaning because we would face a Chelsea without Ivanovic if he was banned for just league games and allowed the play the cup game But yh i do think FA/League cup offences should be contained to just being punished in that competition. And League offences should be confined to punishment in the league.
  16. Irrelevant really because VDV,Bale and Ben Arfa could play in attacking trio behind Adebuymoar but anyway enough of that he is ours..... lets go back to calling Redknapp a c*nt

  19. FA have dismissed Ivanovic's appeal, good news.
  20. Problem with Johnson is he goes into hiding alot and has little 10-15 min bursts, he's pretty much a MOTD player and quite frankly not consistent enough. I wonder how much City are looking to get for him tho. Agree with this
  21. Quality in areas we need but i reckon his wages might be too high for us.
  22. 1. He's a vile despicable tax dodging c*nt 2. He's a scared, vile despicable tax dodging c*nt F*ck settling for 5th i want to beat this c*nt, the look on his face will be more priceless than Barton's face if QPR go down.
