From what i have seen of him when BT shows Bundesliga is he's very talented but he's one of those who looks great for 2 or 3 games but then goes missing for the next 8 or 9 He's clearly better than what they have outside of Kane in forward areas though.

As long as we play well and actually compete i don't mind what the result is, would need to beat West Ham and Watford though.

As an intelligent footballer probably not, but Sissoko impacts the game far beyond De Jong and the rest of the team tbh. It's underestimated how important his ability to basically counter by himself is to the team even if he doesn't have the brain that De Jong has.

De Jong hasn't shown anything to suggest he should be starting above him other than reputation. I like De Jong i really do, but to fit him in you have to drop one of Sissoko, Thauvin, Perez and Wijnaldum and i personally can't do it.

Don't agree tbh, i saw enough against Man Yoo that it's not a waste of his talents at all as long as he's allowed to roam like he was in possession to extent and Haidara overlaps. If anything i think it might be good for him because he'll be harder to pick up coming in from wide positions. Fair points, I'm not sure we're set up strongly enough elsewhere in the team to accommodate for that though. Especially at LB and CDM. Would like to see Sissoko utilised as a box to box CM for some time, he has the attributes but I'm not so sure about the mentality that's all... I'm just not a massive fan of Colback (bang average) and Anita is very physically limited. Attack is undoubtedly our best form of defence. Or Only form of defence... Suppose there's only one way to find out.... I would definitely play a front 6 consisting of Anita, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Perez, Mitrovic and Thauvin though.

If Sissoko is available it will tell a lot of what McClaren will do when the best team is available. Ideally it shouldn't be an either/or situation with Perez and Sissoko but i fear it might be....

Come off it man, they are clearly better than us and we always do fuck all against them. Not saying we won't get anything but they are one of the best teams in the league for a reason.

Tbf it was only because Obertan was playing instead of him I personally don't have a problem with him coming off the bench as an impact player if the two wide players are Perez and Thauvin. But Obertan instead of him? nah that's BS and should never happen.
