  1. Aye I agree, unfortunately those types tend to be very expensive. Even the likes of Spurs struggle to get their targets for that type of player.
  2. If the club don't rate him, why not? Because there's the possibility given the chance he might actually get other teams points, just because Rafa doesn't want to give him a chance doesn't mean we should allow other teams to do so.
  3. I kind of want to sign some random kid with Brock Lesnar music in the background and Paul Heyman shouting he's the next big thing tbh.
  4. Don't think anyone is moaning tbf, just pointing out that it seems over the top for a loan signing tbh It's a joke, it's a joke! Moaning b******s. Oh sorry I didn't realise, my bad tbh.
  5. Don't think anyone is moaning tbf, just pointing out that it seems over the top for a loan signing tbh
  6. Don't really get the idea that the signing wouldn't make sense (Aubameyang) they need to replace Sanchez goals and seems about as good as they are going to get in January tbh.
  7. Felt that way for a few seasons now tbh.
  8. Aye it could actually work because Lacazette and Aubameyang are both very mobile so can occupy wide areas during the build up if necessary. Just a thought really, I have no clue what Wenger actually has planned.
  9. I did say I wouldn't sell him because the likelihood is we'll not replace him tbf. Just a general discussion about Shelvey that's going on.
  10. 442 with Ozil and Mkhitaryan floating around the strikers, fuck all width but probably the best bet with those players. Would need to get better CMs to get the best out of it mind.
  11. Basically he's a talented player but there's no position or role in the modern game which really takes advantage of his skill set without being a detriment in some way.
  12. He doesn't have the agility to play further forward, which is why it's never really happened.
  13. Shelvey's replacement is already in the team, considering he's taking game time that should be going to Merino. If we do sell him I'd rather he be replaced by a more offensive minded midfielder. Obviously I don't trust the club to sell him and get a replacement though so I'd rather he stay.
  14. Torres?? Aguero as well, basically it's load of bullshit.
  15. No reason for anyone to take any Deeney link seriously, main reason is it came from ESPN who know absolutely fuck all. Slimani might actually have some weight to it seeing as it's been reported consistently in various places for months, neither are good enough though IMO. We'll just have to replace them again in a year tops and i can't see them making a massive impact on whether we stay up or go down, hopefully it would be someone else.
  16. Wasn't he very good his first season for Dortmund? No, i watched the games consistently then. He was missing open goals by the bucket load I specifically remember him missing 3 in one game against Real Madrid. His stats were decent( which isn't hard under Klopp team) as others have pointed out but performance wise he was very disappointing, plenty of people not just me were consistently criticizing him back then but of course all the captain hindsights on here think it's laughable. He was great under Tuchel, but his performance level at Man Utd is the average from what i saw under Klopp and i tend to believe that's who he is as a footballer based on what 4 seasons now? He could prove me wrong, but as it stands he has a reputation living off that one season and nobody gave a shit about him before that season.
  17. If this is true, Silva has been incredibly unprofessional tbh. Otherwise it's a ridiculous decision to sack him imo.
  18. He's done it before so there's a tinge of hope. I'm incredibly skeptical if i'm honest, if that was the plan then why wasn't it put into practice before January started instead of the last 10 days? I hope i'm wrong, Rafa keeps us up and the fat twat sells the club but i doubt it sadly.
  19. Don't like Mkhitaryan at all, he was utterly s*** under Klopp and until proven otherwise his one great season under Tuchel was completely down to Tuchel. Seeing as he hasn't proved it since or before then, if i was Arsenal i would have just pursued for a cash deal as i don't think he's good enough at all. Unless he proves that one season wasn't a fluke Man Utd have got a bargain.
  20. He's not that bad man. Way over the top. The vast, vast majority of their openings were down to him in that half. Didn’t stop the cross for the goal, hides when we’re in possession (see when Atsu had it deep and he set off on a nice little run behind their winger) and doesn’t say a peep on the pitch. He’s p*ss poor, more or less everyone else did their jobs defensively there. Happens every week but there's always some who refuse to see it for some reason.
  21. Completely agree, i have said this before but i'd much prefer more mobile strikers than target men with the players we have tbh.
