  1. M'Vila would be cheap these days as he's had injuries and discipline problems..... fined by his own club and French FA he even got told by his club to train and play with the reserves and has done for most of the season. Really a massive rise and fall situation, he has ability but he needs to sort him self out. He won't cost anywhere near 20m in fact he wont even cost half that.
  2. The other ones i have heard is Aubameyang from St Etienne and Rodrigo from Benfica can't say i know much outside of Fifa and FM but both seem to be highly rated especially Aubameyang.
  3. He has been this season tbh. I often feel the whole idea of physicality and specialist midfielders like destroyers are often overstated..... In this day and age i would much prefer a midfield 3 of Bigi-Cabaye-Anita..... they can all press, intercept, tackle, pass, score, create etc etc they can all do multiple different jobs and swap roles on the fly and comfortable in each zone i.e. DM, CM and AM. Most top teams have midfielders like this who complete multiple roles and not just one and not many use specialist CM's or specialist DM's anymore. It's a type of player that is slowly but surely dieing and quite frankly against Arsenal having a destroyer didn't exactly help us and hasn't done all season. Even last season i felt our best performances were with Guthrie and Cabaye.
  4. Did he shag your lass or something?
  5. Same i genuinely hope no one else leaves and if they have to considering Debuchy looks like coming in then i hope its Simpson.
  6. Both Obertan and Marveaux have been rumored in different places... Anyway it's just a rumor and there's really nothing credible that says we are actually offering that sort of deal. Well apart from that Marveaux plus cash deal from months ago but other than that its more than likely rehashed rubbish.
  7. Aye what we are basically saying is Marveaux and Ba plus cash to get Remy and he's not THAT good. Remy straight cash and i'm happy but if Marveaux is a part of any deal especially with his recent performances i'm going to be fuming.
  8. And if Ba goes and Cisse picks up an injury? third time now, i'd like us to get someone else in but not a direct replacement for ba. not necessarily a through the middle striker but someone who can play right across the front line. That's why Remy is an interesting prospect. Different style than both Ba and Cissé. Can play through the middle, with more mobility, and also as RW. Exactly he would offer something we have not had since the Bellamy days quite frankly.... lots of ifs and maybes atm though.

    Papiss Cissé

True he's not Benzema or Rooney level but those players grew up as footballers as practically as midfielders which is why their technique is so faultless... Ibra the same. But he still does a competent job and is capable of dribbling past a player or two or laying on a goal for a team mate. None the less i agree what you have said in that response

    Papiss Cissé

Very harsh. Higuian can pass, dribble etc etc and actually started his career as a winger..... he's a lot better than as far as his overall game goes than given credit for IMO. Also Madrid have missed him a lot in my view and won have won more points if he had been fit.
  11. Aye probably the main reason im so relaxed about it all because i knew he would leave the moment i heard about this clause. Was all a matter of time tbh.
  12. Fulham interested in Simpson? give us Hangeland then
  13. Aye because that would solve everything Cisse would still be on the wing and the team would still be terribly unbalanced and we would have a worse CF than we do now. The least we should be doing if Ba leaves is seeing it as an opportunity to make sure our attack actually functions and stop playing CF's on the bloody wings and have no pace or width.
  14. Everton and their encouraging defeat versus our encouraging defeats, but who wins? Think of the positives! Oh why won't somebody please think of the positives?! You can stuff your positives in Fellaini's afro we will take the points ( famous last words)
  15. Quite a bit actually, saw him linked with us over the summer on at least 3 occasions there's definite interest there. But interest and spending the money to get a player is awfully different at this club.
  16. Another one i would be delighted with but very skeptical we would pay what would be needed to get him here.
  17. Scott Wilson from the Echo seemed to think we are and god knows we need one..... arguably more than a forward. I'm getting the feeling if we do get one then it will be out of the blue and not a name we expect.... i don't usually say that but practically every target has been knocked back or rejected in some manner.
  18. Lee Ryder ‏@lee_ryder Be interesting to see where #nufc turn regarding a CB , FC Twente defender Douglas not high up the list say Dutch media
  19. Ba's versatility is really a moot point as he refuses to play anywhere else Anyway i don't think there's a great deal of difference between Ba and Cisse as central strikers i personally believe with Ba in the middle with Ben Arfa and Remy either side of him ( for example) we would be successful and same with Cisse instead of Ba. The point really is that Ba and Cisse can't co-exist so it's one or the other and as i said it was always obvious what the board would do. I agree Ba wasn't holding Cabaye and the likes back.... hoofing and 4-4-2 was doing that, i also agree my main concern is being more solid defensively hopefully signing Debuchy and a CB will help in that regard. I don't really agree with it all i'm just why its happened as said before i would have liked to seen Ba stay and rotate with Cisse for a central spot and buy a couple of wide players but that wasn't going to happen. I know it seems i'm very casual about the whole situation but that's because Cisse has been limited all season firstly by tactics and then by his position and i believe with him going back to the centre will result in a glut of goals. I'm also confident that a forward in the mould of Remy will be brought in i know that's dangerous under this regime but i don't believe Ashley will risk the possibility of relegation with all that TV money coming in.
