Aye but it improves the entire team, we couldn't get near the box with Gayle on the pitch because his link up play compared his poor and doesn't have the presence. Entire the team improves it's better he doesn't start for now, the ball just comes back again and again. This isn't my opinion based on today either, i immediately noticed it when he came on against Huddlesfield. Gayle is great but right now the midfield needs as much help as it's going to get.

Said this before but i don't have a problem with them selling Matic, he hasn't been THIS Matic for Chelsea in like 18 months. To the point that most Chelsea fans i know were fine with selling him. What i have a problem with is they didn't replace him with someone more dynamic and give more balance to the team going forward, because as of right now they rely massively on Hazard for chance creation.

In fairness, one was against Forest and another was a sub goal against an already defeated West Ham, fair play to him as he's done well with what he's been given so far this season. But i don't particularly see signs of improvement yet.

We can if it's better for the team, i would like to see Shelvey and Merino on paper as well but it might force Merino to do more defensive work than we'd like. Anyway we'll see, in any case if Merino keeps playing like that he's undroppable.

As good as Man Yoo look i feel like they are missing Rashford tbh, i like Martial but he doesn't have the explosion or as good link up play IMO. Not that it really matters as Leicester can't get out at all.

Think if we play Joselu upfront we could potentially go 4-3-3. Drop Perez, have Hayden holding and Merino and Shelvey in central midfield. I know i have said this before but IMO Rafa won't do that. Relies too much on the wingers, not enough mobility around the striker and will lead to the striker being isolated due to the midfielders in question not being comfortable in the final third. Fact of the matter is we need an attacking midfielder we can rely on, quite obviously none of them are good enough.

Nah, I like him and he's done as well as could be expected at LB but its clear he's not good enough to play there full time IMO I don't even mean LB. Maybe it's just the bath salts talking but I'm now one of the mouth breathing crowd who want to see him in midfield. Stay off the bath salts.
