Liverpool? my problem with 4-4-2 for us is we get overrun in midfield don't really care what system it is but i think we should be playing 3 in the middle.

Aye i thought that as well, having said that the amount of injuries caused by international breaks this season already is getting a bit ridiculous tbh. -
Well is there? seems like football sold any morals it had long ago for money.

About it breaking Sharia Law..... Mesut Ozil reads the Quran before a match, yet goes out to play in a Bwin shirt

Personally i don't like clubs spending big money on under 18s across the board, i cringe when i see some clubs spending over a million on players that are not even 16 years old. That's not just us but any club, i don't think it's fair on anyone involved and that kid has massive pressure to succeed from the get go. like Chelsea with Kakuta for example. Bigi was different, he had played over 20 professional games in the championship so he had experience of what professional football is all about some of these kids have huge amounts spent on them without kicking a ball professionally.

Exactly why i don't give a shit, perhaps we should be looking for a less controversial sponsor but you can pick any sponsor apart and say it sets a bad example. All i care about is the financial implications and how it will effect this club.

Wasn't Pardew's initial plan 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 when he joined with club and why we was linked with so many wide players and midfielders in the first summer? I mean after all the players we have bought over last 2-3 years are designed for those systems so it all seems a bit strange to play a system which would be alien to them. Personally believe Pardew promised Ba he would be main striker so he would stay ( some of the quotes do seem to indicate that) rather than actually using something he prefers.

The only time we actually had Ba, Ben Arfa, Cisse in a front 3 and Cabaye in an advanced role we won 6 out of 7. In the majority of games dominated and created crap loads, team becomes before any individual..... in any case Ba was not nullified he played very well in that time he just missed chances but his overall play was good. Besides when Ben Arfa use to come inside, Ba would usually join Cisse in the box so he had plenty of opportunities. Ba's goalscoring drought was more to lacking in confidence ( after derby penalty miss) and fitness ( after AFCON )than playing on the left. He still got chances but they wasn't being taken. It would work but it's painfully obvious Ba doesn't like playing there and in any case it's not like Ba was stuck out on the left he had freedom to come off the flank and swap positions with one of front 3 etc etc. I'm almost certain if we played that system all season long we would be like 6 or 7 points better off it's blatantly obvious it's what fits this team the most.

Nice Yh i liked that as well.

We would probably have about 7 more points if we set up like that all season -
I think they can work if we are able to control games more and create more chances. The problem for me atm is we cannot control games of football and are hoofing it to Ba or Cisse who neither seem capable of making the ball stick. Play 3 in the middle, Hatem in behind and start passing the bloody ball on the ground and i don't see no reason why it wouldn't work to an acceptable standard.

He's injured it. very good, let me put it another way then, do we know what injury he has done to his elbow? I believe the scientific term is a "elbow injury".
-
Agree with most of that but in retrospect sacking Hughton and selling Carroll was the right decision and we have spent the money.

5m is really going to help when even Sunderland have a 20m deal (supposedly) isn't it

Considering how poor the start of the season has been i personally wouldn't. I think that's what will happen but a win is definitely needed. Simmo -
Pre-season specialist Haris Vučkić joins FC Twente

If he doesn't make it then it will be down to being unlucky with injuries rather than his actual ability. -
1. MAPOU (should've pulled the trigger on this kid over the summer, I'm afraid he's gonna move to a bigger club come January) 2. Quality left back. Move Santon to right. Would love Mbiwa but it's not going to happen now, as for the LB thing i have said this before but and i would be concerned of the amount of actual quality LB's available. I think that's the reason we looked at RB's because there's more quality RB's available. We will see if anything actually happens.
