Agreed but they should have to do more to be able to be put into these groups. They are clearly not good enough and just end up being wipping boys, put them amongst the Faroe Islands and that lot and if they improve as a footballing nation bump them up to the groups with the big boys. Would make qualifying more competitive and interesting too.

Even QPR hardly use it, although not a fair comparison as they are s****. I have seen Southampton use it on occasion too but they seem to prefer a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 more often than not. As for City it's a little different, Nasri and Silva come into midfield usually, Aguero drops deep and fullbacks push on and Barry and Toure drop in. With City there's a lot of movement and interchanging to really define it as any one system.
