Newcastle vs Bordeaux 04/10/2012 @ 20:05 BST - Live On ESPN

We beat them 3-0 last year with Webb as the ref. -
I don't think even Ashley would terminate a paying sponsorship deal a year early, just to put SD.com (or any other of his companies) on the shirts for free. Don't let logic get in the way of a good conspiracy theory mate What about Ashley putting SD on the front of our shirts would constitute a conspiracy? I was saying that people actually believe it could happen constitutes as a conspiracy..... I personally can't understand why people would think it can happen, ok he did the Stadium thing but he wasn't giving up a 10m a year deal to advertise his company. He would be basically throwing away 10m, smart business man like Ashley does not throw away money in any situation.

Even if it were true, who cares? Why can't we just sit back and enjoy these players and if they leave then they leave then we deal with it when it happens. This club was here long before Yohan Cabaye and will be here long after Yohan Cabaye. Personally don't understand all this constant worrying about when/if players might leave, we have seen similar with Ben Arfa and others let's just enjoy them and be happy that they are our players and worry about these things when they happen. -

That form of rap that was on show after the game with QPR and West Ham i agree with Bimpy on it's absolute horseshite. But personally i enjoy rap from years gone by. ( i.e 80s and 90s) Anyway that's the thing about music, you will always have these polar opposite opinions and one of the reasons why people enjoy it so much.

Funny thing is about all the shit performances that we are only 3 points from 3rd and 3 points off this lot coincidently. I'm confident, but i'm confident going to every game always have the belief we will get something for some reason. -
Wouldn't know what the word "Team" meant if you locked him in a room with no liquids with Jonas for a month tbh.
-
I agree it's been so shit it's funny

Was a 4-5-1. Having said that i do believe in Cisse and Ba as a 2 if we actually play through teams and have Cisse running in behind stretching the defenders and Ba coming deep and to help with the build up. ATM they are so isolated and there's no real movement from the midfield or Ba or Cisse themselves or chances created that it's understandable why it doesn't work so well. I think it can work under the right style of play and set up though.

Man Utd did not play 4-4-2. In the second half they did which is when they was on top. -
So his legs have gone now? but last season he was fine?
-
Funny how everyone in the media hounded AVB for dropping Lampard but when Di Matteo did it at the weekend i don't remember a word uttered I actually want to see him make a success of it just so the media can eat their words, how they behave is quite frankly disgusting.
-
Well he was perfectly happy to replace about 80% of the hoardings from paying companies in the ground with freebies for Sports Direct. Good point definitely trying to be positive for once and hopefully something good comes from this
-
Nah i can't see it actually, Virgin was paying us 10m a year Ashley might be crazy but he's not stupid if he's giving up a 10m a year shirt sponsorship deal he's not going to do it for his own bloody company It's not like Ashley was the one paying 10m year and he would save himself money by going full on with Sports Direct. I can't see anything but a genuine upgrade on Virgin, maybe even a stadium deal.
-
It has to be something more lucrative than 10m a year so i'm not concerned about any sport direct crap at all.

I would not be surprised if they only play one of Rooney or RVP they have not played the two together very often..... Anyway i think Colo and Taylor will make it and their defence isn't exactly scary anyway. -
How much enjoyment do you get from watching NUFC?

It's so true about the "there's never a dull moment" the amount of times each game goes by with ridiculous high moments to ridiculous low moments in the space of a seconds is what this club is all about there never has been and there never will be a middle ground. I fully expect to have a heart attack one day while supporting this team, but it will be worth it -

Agreed it was just the first team i could think of -

Completely agree. We have no off the ball movement, no sense of direction, no fluidity, no balance etc etc. If we look at Man Utd at the weekend ( i know they lost ) but they attacked with fluidity with a clear offensive pattern of how they wanted to attack and they used 4-4-2. The thing that annoys me above all else is the youth teams have all these things( well the U-21 team does at least), so why doesn't the first team? -
I thought Jonas was very good against Norwich last season at fullback but awful against Liverpool where Bellamy ran him ragged. It's nice that he can play there but i don't want to see him there very often.
-
Basically how i feel, whether that's 4-3-1-2 with Hatem as the "1" or 4-3-3 as we saw last season that is definitely how i would go. As with Santon and Fergie as the fullbacks we can play a narrow system and not worry too much about width. I also agree the formation is far from the main issue.
