  1. Always capable of that, fantastic shot stopper but his concentration levels are not always the greatest at times.
  2. His all round play is good but his finishing leaves A LOT to be desired. So much so i'm convinced he's not a striker. Also a bit confused why Hodgson is so concerned with the centre of the pitch when the only real threat in the middle as far as creative sense goes is Obraniak and the majority of Poland's best work comes from the right hand side.
  3. Can't believe i have never seen that Schumacher quote before That's brilliant

    Alan Pardew

Might want to start by actually passing through the midfield instead of by passing it Pards.
  5. Uruguay are massively missing Prime Forlan to link the whole play together IMO none of their other forwards can do what he provided for them. Looking forward to Chile and Argentina later on going to have hardly any sleep so i can watch it
  6. Considering how much of a c*nt he is he would probably kick you in the calf when you turn your back.
  7. Pretty sure the best player in the world wouldn't be in Jonny Evans pocket......
  8. Deschamps reminds me of Souness in so many ways. He's an absolute c*nt, thinks hes big man to discipline players for no reason, holds grudges against anyone and everyone, doesn't have a clue tactically etc etc.
  9. Ah cheers, basically sounds like the typical France performance tbh.
  10. All a ploy to disguise how crap we are IMO.
  11. He's started like 2 games, one of which he clearly wasn't fit.....
  12. Not saying Yaya is poor in the defensive regard but Keane and Vieira were comfortably better than him in this regard.
  13. As long as he can keep fit Garay and Colo are not a bad partnership to build around for 2014.
  14. kill them fire. Don't see a starting place for him at Barca anymore btw, Busquets is superior in the holding role and Xavi and Iniesta are simply superior.
  15. Do agree on the Aura thing but i also think Man U carried that in general they won a lot of games before the game even started with or without Keane they just seemed to have that about them. Now not so much. As for the Yaya comparison while he's also a b2b midfielder i'd argue he's inferior to Vieira and Keane when it comes to positional sense and the defensive part of the game in general but superior in the attacking deparment. I personally thought in his prime at Leverkusen and Bayern that Ballack was better than all of them. Just an example of how the game has changed there was a plethora of great b2b midfielders back then, now they seems to been displaced by an increase of holding midfielders, playmakers and attacking midfielders and there doesn't seem to be many b2b midfielders around.
  16. The real question is...... is he a purple player?
  17. A nice thunderbastard from anyone will do tbh, i just want a win
  18. Yeah Vieira was better for me as well i also thought Scholes was better at that time but obviously a different player.
  19. Yeah that's how i feel, he's as talented as any player in history but talent and ability is nowhere near enough for me to rate him above any random player. Consistency is more important to me than talent ever will be. Which is why i rate Xavi and Pirlo above him, different players sure but they combined god given talents with consistency which i felt Zidane failed to do. I also prefer to rate players on club performances rather than international performances because that shows real consistency against the very best every year rather than turning up against the 2 or 3 really great teams once every 4 years. While we are on the discussion of French AM's i'd like to nominate Michel Platini i never had the opportunity to see him in his prime and would love to see the opinions of people who did..... i know a lot of people who thought he was better than Zidane.
  20. Ludicrous post. He's useless with the style we are using atm though, i realise it seems ludicrous. But what's the point of lumping it up to Cisse? if we are going to lump it then he might as well not play at all. It's not what i want to see but that's the style of play we are playing atm and it would be much more effective with Shola upfront with Ba or Cisse than Ba and Cisse and no Shola.
