Had a weird feeling he is going to have a good season based on the Under 21s. Thought the first 20 minutes he was exceptional, tired a bit and again started the second half well but again faded. As he gets more and more games for us, feel he will start to get fitter and will be able to keep up that level over the whole game. Very good start and really hope he keeps it up.

Hearing from a few friends who are West Brom fans that us and Villa have had a bid accepted for Josh Griffiths for around £7m. Young English goalkeeper. Seems solid enough. They’ve heard rumours about us being interested him all summer but yet to actually hear any rumours about him from our end.

My arse fully dropped with that one shot they had

Newcastle United vs. Leicester City: 22/05/23 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Fully nervous. Few cans in, going to need a few more and a couple of goals to settle the nerves down -
Think we were very poor throughout, and it’s disappointing to not win when 2-1 up. However, this is a good point for me providing we win on Thursday. Now a must win unless Liverpool drop points Monday.

Cabaye to Cisse against Stoke was the best I’ve seen, but that could have topped it

I have no issues with it. The lad has had a big move, struggled to get a lot of minutes and ended up getting frustrated after getting subbed after he came on. He’ll learn the reason for the sub, and grow from it. No worries about him whatever.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

I have been quite critical of his cameo performances recently, but he was exceptional when coming on today. Exactly what you what, taking the ball and beating his man. It is a lot easier though when he isn’t coming on when the opposition aren’t putting a lot of men behind the ball. Think he needs to be starting games where we should be winning. Pointless bringing him on in games where he has 3 men in front of him so can do nothing -
Need the numbers from Longstaff for this half. Special display this

Comes on to provide fresh legs and constantly fails to try and run past a man. Done with him, get rid of someone is stupid enough to take him

Newcastle United 3-3 Manchester City (21/08/2022)

Came into this game just wanting a performance, and we absolutely got that. Was brilliant for the first hour, and then City took control. Would have taken a point at the start, still would have taken it at 3-1 tbh considering how long was still left. The ref was beyond pathetic -
Newcastle United 1-0 Crystal Palace (20/04/2022)

For some reason, Jose would always get shown up by Somen Tchoyi at West Brom. Would destroy him every time we played them -
First game since the last away game at Wolves during the championship season. Would not be surprised at any result. They are in good form, so a home win wouldn’t be a surprise, but this is the sort of game that we win 1-0. Probably going to end a draw, but we could really do with a win with Cardiff getting another win the weekend.

Rather shocked. Work in a bar in The Hawthorns that he regularly goes in when West Brom play at home. Always seemed a cracking guy. RIP.

Thauvin is an excellent player, one who will go on to play for bigger clubs than us or Marseille. Woefully managed here and part of a terrible squad, no wonder his heart and head weren't in it. Like Morgan Sanson too, bit of a goalscoring midfielder, has all the promise of Grenier from a few year back. idk, he seems to really enjoy it at Marseille. Not sure he'd want to leave again unless it was to a top, top club, which I don't think is going to happen though. Think Sanson will probably leave though. Don't think he feels as attached to Marseille as Thauvin. Still can't believe they got him for so cheap.

Glad Shelvey hasn't gone straight back into the team. Feared he might. -

Well up for the return of Giuseppe Rossi. Danny Guthrie as well. -
Have no hard feelings towards him about his time here, but I'm glad he's gone. Hope he manages to put his injury troubles behind him.

Terrible by Lloris that.
