I fairly sure the only time we've played it was against Spurs. Chelsea was 4-4-2, Villa was 4-4-2 then 4-3-1-2, and Atromitos was 4-2-3-1 for both legs.

Two of the games he's excelled for us- Man Utd h and away at Villa he was in a midfield two with Cheik. I get that it's not a system he is used to or prefers but it's only an excuse that goes so far. Both of those teams also had only 2 in the middle, right?

For me, Pardew changing to 4-3-1-2 over 4-3-3 demonstrates his primary objective is to keep Ba/Cisse happy by playing them in a front 2. How long will he continue to hinder the team before he recognizes that we really should be playing 4-3-3?
