  1. If ever there's a time to go all out and send a message then it's in this game. This is one of those occasions where a hard 1-0 win just wont do. An assault from the off with the sole aim to score goals is what's needed.

  3. The Ronny Gill's Mark Douglas has been advertising a scoop of a Q + A thing with Rafa for this weekend and he reckons he's answered all the questions that we want answers to. I bet there's no guarantee that he stays here regardless as to whether we go up or not or Ashley keeping the purse closed.
  4. £300m is it's initial cost apparently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-39356244 Done properly up here, we could boost the local workforce as well as create hundreds, if not thousands of short to long term jobs.
  5. Everton are announcing details of their new ground build at tea time tonight in a move away from Goodison Park. They've played there since 1892 so it's not inconceivable that a new owner would move us if a decent location was found and there's many when you think of it.
  6. Another Puma button collar with Helsingborg's
  7. Seen a few Puma kits with the grandad press stud collar for next season. I guess ours will too. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/2017/malmo_ff_2017_puma_home_kit.jpg
  8. We could still do a Spurs and have a new ground built on a tangent to where the ground is now. Yes it may cost hundreds of millions and be against the inbred mentality that the Ashley regime has created but an ambitious new owner can change the thought train also. For now tho, it's the last thing on the agenda as there's nee profit in it for you know who.
  9. This is a pointless debate anyway. Just wait until De Jong returns to pre-season training and gets injured by a stray Riviere shot from 5 pitches away.
  10. im down to a 3. We never seem to score on a Saturday between just after 3:45ish pm and the 4 o'clock mark.
  11. Win tomorrow and I may be back to a 7. Rafa is trying to instil a mentality of confidence without being overly confident about it. It would be pretty stupid of us to presume it's over on that basis.
  12. I worked in Gossy back then and the petition carriers always came in to our work trying to fob off some spiel that the ground was going to go on the land where the rides go when the moor is on. You just know they'd be collaring some unexpected folk with tales of doom. All because they'd have nowhere for their dogs to have a shit although in reality, the land just gets shit on daily.

He helped turn us into a big name and make us one of the richest clubs in the world. Ashley has taken us backards. Relegated twice for starters. but.....but.....Mike saved the club....from doing another Portsmouth, Coventry, Leeds and any other sob story out there.

Are you sure? Internet and reputable news sources suggest he visited Newcastle to launch a scholarship program. Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. No im not sure. I read this the other week but it mentioned the Newcastle city hall and Newcastle University so I just presumed it was here. Didn't mean much at the time and it probably doesn't now. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have tweeted the company afterwards to ask Jack to buy the club.

May be Alibaba. The bloke (Jack Ma) who made the company, which is big in China, came here in February and he supposedly calls Newcastle his second home.
  16. Im sure I read that it equates to a ratio of 1.5:1. Which means for every seated fan you can get 1 and a half standing ones. For example If we could use a block of 10,000 seats then it would turn into 15,000 'safe' places. I know this is never going to happen in such a big block but im just stating that capacity technically could be increased in turn.

Not seen 'Wadds was here' for years. Maybe it's a comeback.
  18. You are in cloud cook cuckoo land if you think that is even remotely possible. The two major blockers are: 1) cost of a brand new stadium is prohibitive unless you build a relatively small identikit flat pack stadium. 2) you would never get planning consent to build a new stadium on Leazes Park or the Town Moor. Bearing in mind I made my thoughts on this pretty clear in that it is neither wanted or likely as it was just a basic idea off the top of my head. Having thought about it though off the back of your unnecessary slight about where my mental state is. Maybe I am a fruit cake, maybe im not but if someone with money and clout wanted it, it would happen. Simple as. Nee blockers, nee nowt. The welly wearing tree huggers went round the toon years ago with their petition about no business on the town moor, well since all this time has passed, there has been plenty of 'business' done on the land that we were going to extend onto which wasn't the town moor but hunters moor. That business being a student walk across and cows shitting until the cows come home. Alternatively, a lower bowl safe standing level could easily take the attendance close to 60,000 at the existing St James'
  19. For those of us older heads it is a concern but in the eyes of the 21st century, if we needed a bigger ground and we had an owner who wanted it, we would. Off the top of my head it is perfectly feasible to incorporate the land that we use now and redevelop the whole of Leazes park and surrounding cow grass to create one big St James' Park with freeman land to go with it. Could maybe move some of the older materials from the stadium to a new one just a few hundred yards or so North. Where the ground is now could see a grand entrance to the whole park which could be the centre piece of the country with retail units scattered around instead of the drug ridden no-go zone we have at night. Would I want this, no but it's a better idea than shifting altogether.
  20. Surely we can write off the opponents in the final games because we've been everyone's cup final all season and If Brighton and Huddersfield keep up then surely they'll be everyone elses also. At least that's what im hoping. Im also hoping that Rafa's prediction of April being the month to separate the wheat from the chaff will come true because one good week for us will complete the job.
  21. Ive been a 7 all season until the Brighton week where we got 7 points. Then I was a 9, now for some reason im as low as 3. I blame social media because the way everyone's been, we're in danger of relegation. :frantic:
  22. We go up and a commanding midfielder who can tackle is going higher up my list by the game. We fail to go up and someone like Craig Gardner will be high on the list for our new boss.
  23. Somewhere down a dark back lane lies one man who thinks he would do a better job. A man who proclaims himself to be the best manager in the league... EVER. http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/03281/carver2_3281254b.jpg No thanks, leave this to Rafa. His month is approaching. The month he's been banging on about all season. April.
  24. The good thing about this is when Ashley does fuck it up then everyone will be on the same page for once and we should be able to stir up enough anger to cause more than a ripple. Then again, if candy crush release an update around this time, we may have to wait.
  25. Pardew under Delia. Perish the thought.
