I think the fact he's an actual footballer gives him the distinct edge over Williamson - he's been playing in central midfield this season, can you see Willo doing that? (usual Williamson caveats apply - nice bloke, lovely kids, good to his mam etc)

Excellent news - worthy of a new thread surely??

Still think the Cabaye doubts are a bit of a smokescreen - reckon he'll start this one. -
I didn't see the game last night - was he any good?

Bit hasty to talk in terms of this being a definite loss IMO - this is Norwich, not Barcelona - they've won 6 of their 21 league games this season (only 1 more than us) and lost their last 4. We play like we did at Man Utd or the first 70 minutes at Arsenal and we can get a result no problem. -

How nice is it going to be to have 2 competent attacking fullbacks? I think that alone could make a big difference to our overall play. -

Based on nothing but guesswork I reckon Cabaye and Jonas will be back for this one but Taylor will be another week or so. Would start with: Debuchy – Willo – Colo – Santon Anita – Bigi Marv – Cabaye – Jonas Cisse Perch for Bigi if he's fit. Obertan to come on later if needed. -
Fucking hell, got to be careful what you post around here!

Aye, that would a decent start. Then maybe we can work on giving the bloke in possession more than one option. Baby steps. -

Seriously though how great would it be if we could get Remy in before Norwich? Wouldn't play. Pardew won't have been preparing his tactics to include him. I love this place -

Hopefully Marv and Jonas will both be sitting out for HBA and Remy... -
I think statements like this are utterly pointless. Well, that's my dose of unnecessary hostility sorted It comes to us all. It might have been supreme irony to be fair. Say that to my face and not on-line and see what happens. Supreme irony it is then.

Norwich side for their last league game: 28 Bunn 02 R Martin 05 Bassong 06 Turner 24 R Bennett 07 Snodgrass 08 Howson (Fox - 83' ) 12 Pilkington 14 Hoolahan (E Bennett - 70' ) 27 Tettey 37 Kane (Jackson - 70' ) I know he has them playing well, but we really should be able to beat that lot. Looks like there's much less of an aerial threat than they had last year, although Physio Room has Grant Holt possibly back for this one. Their recent league form is actually worse than ours - they've lost 4 in a row (Hughton out! ) -
If we finish the season in decent form I don't think many will be calling for him to be sacked tbf. I think there's a small group that dislike him regardless, but nowhere near the majority.
-
Will be all about the player's preference I reckon. I've no doubt QPR will more than match any financial package we can put together, just need to hope he prefers to come here. First part of the negotiations should be to show him some pictures of Loftus f***ing Road. http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties/content/images/2007/01/08/loftus_road1_470_470x353.jpg

The only place likely to make an offer for Tiote in his current form is the local glue factory.

On a general note can I just say how much I'm enjoying reading this thread - lots of diverse views but for the most part constructive suggestions and very little in the way of personal attacks (on each other I mean, Pardew is of course taking a bit of a kicking!) I've been on very few forums that manage to remain so civilised on such emotive subjects.

Do we know how bad Perch's injury is yet? Think he'll play holding midfield if he's available. -
Never heard of him so went on youtube and could only find two goals, went on wiki and found out why Were they at least fucking good goals?
-
If a player doesn't do what he's told you don't play them and if it wasn't down to the manager, why did Ben Arfa, Ba and Cabaye who regularly attend training think it was down to the manager? I agree, you don't play them. So, who plays instead? Didn't know about the Ba, HBA and Cabaye thing - where's that from?
-
Do you seriously think our players want to just hoof the ball? And, if they do, why does the manager not stop them from just hoofing it? I think that was kind of the point he was making - the manager can say "look Danny and Mike, I want us to play incisive passing football so when you get the ball can you please pass it first time in a precise manner to a nearby player wearing the same colour shirt" If Danny and Mike prove incapable of doing this, what is your next choice?

Fucking hell. I've been pretty much ignoring the possibility of relegation until now, expecting us to turn things round, but.....

I reckon Taylor breaking down on the 1st Feb after we haven't bought in a new centre-half again would be the real disaster...
