That's why the 'you obviously want us to spend £50m' s**** doesn't stack up. We're clearly able to afford these deals, and it's to the club's credit that they're so reasonable. It's about recognising when you have to go the extra mile. In the summer the club didn't, and now they are. I just want to know where other clubs are with these players. It's not like we do it one or two players, about 8-9 of our squad we've got for way below their market value. It makes absolutely no sense - a genuinely world class, all action midfielder for under 2 million quid, and we don't give out stupid wages either.

Really relieved about this - Colo leaving could've undermined a lot of the good work of the new signings. Can live with him leaving at the end of the season if he still wants to - we've plenty of time to identify a replacement and I've a sudden improved confidence in our negotiating team in getting any deals done!

Howay then, spill... N’Diaye has already found a house in Darras Hall, which could become a French enclave if all Newcastle’s recent signings decide to relocate to the traditional home of North East Premier League footballers. “I’m happy playing for Sunderland and happy to live here,” he says. “It’s near to friends, which is better for me, and the city is nice. I haven’t seen too much of Sunderland, but I’ve seen Newcastle. It’s nice and it’s a good place. http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/safc-news/2013/01/25/new-boy-alfred-n-diaye-rides-high-on-crest-of-a-wearside-wave-61634-32674871/

Well we're currently around 3/1 across the board with the bookies, which equates to a 25% chance of going down - not sure how that relates to the relegationometer though!
-
For me the new signings make both of those games something we can target points from, especially Chelsea at home - in their last 3 league games they've drawn with Southampton and lost to QPR.
-
Norwich do need some players mind - they've only got 1 point from their last 6 games (against us of course!) and got royally spanked last time out.
-
To think that the front 6 we ended our last match with was: Obertan - Bigi - Perch - Jonas Shola - Cisse And we could start the very next game with: Anita - Sissoko Gouffran - Cabaye - Marveaux Cisse That's one heck of a transformation!
-
I would imagine their first few clashes in training will be a bit tasty.

Looking at that just made me laugh out loud
-
Suddenly not so much of an issue if you have a 6'2" midfielder just in front of them....
-
Now this is tremendous news.
-
Well this is disappointing - can we not just have a few days with no negative news?? And he can officially no longer shag my wife

Don't think he would have been starting even if we hadn't signed MYM - might not even make the bench now.
-
Is there any sign of Villa bringing in any new players this window? They're in even deeper shit than us, be surprising if they don't invest anything at all in trying to stay up...
-
Really want this lad in now - the thought of him and Cabaye in our midfield together is really exciting.

Be interesting to see if he pulls out of the Argentina game.
