Not just the local press anymore:

Thought they were banned. Can't be banned from away grounds I would've thought.
-
Their only chance now is to win their last 3 home games - Cardiff, Swansea and WBA look winnable on paper, but they've only won 6 games all season. 4 if you discount games against teams managed by Alan Pardew.
-
No goals scored in 12 out of 17 games must also be some kind of Premier League record. 1 goal in 11 games missed by Remy now - we're the most one-man team imaginable and that one man doesn't even belong to us....
-
Think Fulham might stay up now - 3 of their last games are Hull, Stoke and Palace, should get a few points there...

A chance to do what exactly? Deliver on his strategy of stagnation? A chance to do his job, work within the limitations that have been set above him and hopefully take the club forward. He's smart enough to know the best way to improve the club on a shoestring budget is get the best out of the players we've got, which means getting rid of the useless cunt of a manager and bringing in someone who can. I heard before weekend it's a matter of when not if with Pardew and at the latest he'll be gone by the start of June. This news of a new MD strengthens that for me. He'll want to make his mark now he's in charge, I really thought today Pardew would have gone, shame that didn't happen for whatever reason but it's only a matter of time. Say what now?

Really building the excitement for the FA Cup next year.

Certainly helps explained the downed tools.

Fuck me that's a depressing read

I really don't want to get tagged as a Pardew sympathiser here, I just think he's a bog standard average Premier League manager - if you look at some stats, how about win percentages: Pardew (NUFC only) - 38.46% Bruce - 37.54% Martinez - 39.82% Pochettino (Soton only) - 38.89% Not much in it really. Another fact worthy of consideration is that he's had to operate with by far the lowest transfer budget of any Premier League club: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html That's 140 million less than Villa, 136 million less than Stoke and even 95 million less than the mackems, all of who we're currently above in the league. Despite all of this I would still like to see him sacked btw.

Miles offside. Fucking city

Cracking penalty.

He is all of those things. And what you're saying is entirely incorrect. People rightly get shouted down for being contrary for no reason and telling people to not "worry" etc Kind of proves the initial point. Even Ian W is starting every post with "I'm not saying I don't hate Pardew..." - any discussion off the party line has been absolutely crushed. Note: Not saying I don't hate Pardew btw...
-
Went down way too easily but it was such a daft challenge
-
This place is savage if anyone dares suggest Pardew is anything other than 100% evil
-
Seems like decent value: http://bwinbetting.com/leagues/premier-league/newcastle-man-utd-reasons-put-house-win-nil,53564.html? These bits are beyond shocking mind: Newcastle have netted once in the last seven games Remy hasn’t started. Tyneside’s finest have given the St James’ Park faithful just two goals in their last seven home games

I can't believe that's a genuine quote. He's run up the white flag already.

I'm sure Poyet will have very strong feelings about the matter: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1265392/Hartlepool-plead-innocence-Brighton-boss-Gus-Poyet-demands-points-deduction-fielding-suspended-Gary-Liddle.html

The Official Alan Pardew Excuses Thread
Varadi replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
He's already made his excuses for this game - the bit about 5 changes from when we beat them at Old Trafford. Saves him having to make up bullshit on the fly after we're been humped again.
