  1. I'm sure he'll be along shortly to rule himself out.
  2. Canny article by Don Hutchison of all people: http://www.thejournal.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/don-hutchison-time-mike-ashley-7016018?
  3. Really sad to see Moyes go - he was doing a great job.
  4. Nah, what's madness is to laugh off the choice like you just have. This is Martinez' first big job, he's done absolutely nothing wrong so far but it's still only 1 season. Although I think he looks a better manager than Moyes he's hardly proven it yet. Aye, it is very early days for Martinez. Looks like he's going to get a 5th place finish, just needs to win manager of the year and he'll be on a par with Pardew...
  5. Martinez has already bettered any points total Moyes managed at Everton, and there's 3 games left. He's also already managed more away wins against the top teams than Moyes managed. And his team play much better football. Pretty impressive stuff imo.
  6. Looks like Fat Sam could be on borrowed time too:
  7. Quotes from Leighton Baines that show why Martinez is on a different planet to Pardew (and Moyes)
  8. Sherwood comes across as a complete jeb end mind. In his very short managerial career he's already guided a very good Spurs side to 4 goal humpings by Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea, a defeat at Norwich and a home loss to their local rivals, and already started falling out with his players. No thanks.
  9. http://intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/1268/shut-leave A thread chosen completely at random. From the very first post: We've all been assuming it's Ashley with the complete lack of ambition, sounds like this has been Pardew's approach for a while...
  10. Lovely effective football by Everton. Man Utd have plenty possession but it's all fart and no shit.
  11. Actually, thinking about it aren't Pulis and Pardew good mates? You would think that reduces the chances of him taking over.
  12. Gust of wind blew half a dozen advertising boards onto the pitch
  13. Thought he was our best player yesterday tbh.
  14. Ah well, at least Norwich put up a fight.
  15. As garbage as pulis is he's a clear upgrade on Pardew for me. Unlikely to see several players out of position and formations chosen on the merit of we have a lot of centre halfs I think that's just because we're more familiar with Pardew's failings - most Stoke fans were delighted to see the back of Pulis too (his approach there to having loads of centre halves was to play all of them too remember?) Pulis has a career win percentage as a manager of 36%. Pardew's is 42%, or just at NUFC 37%. 2 bog standard average managers.
  16. You must still be kicking yourself for missing the 94th minute winner against Palace - you just can't buy memories like that.
  17. I had thought Liverpool winning it was the least worst of the available options but the way the plastic scousers on my Facebook are carrying on already I think I might have been very wrong.
  18. Pardew = Pulis. Would be no upgrade at all, and with no promise even of improved football it would be such a pointless appointment. Can see it happening.

I think 6 more points will keep them up, as long as they don't lose to Cardiff - that's a huge game for them now.

My mackem mate predicted last night they would beat Chelsea then lose to Cardiff - hope he's right!
  21. Reckon we've seen the last of this lad - he was beyond turgid, the injury must have been a relief.
  22. Looking very likely we'll finish outside the top 10 now, surely that would seal his fate?
  23. Didn't hear a single anti-Pardew chant tbh - losing goal came too late to give time to build up any venom in the crowd either. Just shite on every level.
