I make a point for the sake of my sanity of never reading comments on, well anything basically, so not sure what kind of defensive arguments people are coming out with but from the lads I talk to in the pub who still defend Pardew I think it stems from an inability to view the situation in anything but the most basic terms: e.g it's Ashley's fault so it can't be Pardew's I find the Cabaye thing especially frustrating - yes we sold our best player and didn't replace him, but what if he had got injured instead? It's just not acceptable to be in a position where the loss of 1 player results in the complete collapse of the whole team.

Looking like Lee Clark is about to take Birmingham down - losing at home and only 1 more game left.

It's a shame they're the worst team in the league, a spawny 1-0 win and Pardew will be claiming everything is all sunshine and roses again. They have already beaten us at home this season though, and we did manage to lose 3-0 to a terrible mackem side, so there's hope yet.

It is this year, we've lost 8 league games at home this season already, and been knocked out both cups. Scored a massive 3 goals in our last 9 home games too.

Just need to keep an eye on this one: Has been going for over a year, must be someone off here?

Not performing on the pitch is about the only way players have of registering discontent in an effective manner. It's usually how you can tell a manager is done, just look at the upturn in Man Utd's performance this weekend - Giggs didn't have to do anything other than not be David Moyes.

Think Chelsea would've won the league if he had started Ba in more games instead of Torres - Demba has 5 goals with only 4 starts, Torres 4 from 15 (with a similar number of sub apps each)

Top scorers this season (only players we actually own) Gouffran - 7 Cisse - 4 Ben Arfa - 3 Sissoko - 3 Shola - 2 You don't just go selling your 5th top scorer, we have to do whatever it takes to keep him....

When he came on to create the winner in the last minute - the only game we've won in 2 months, and 1 of only 2 goals in our last 7 games.

Definitely seems to be some real impetus building against him for the first time - not many managers recover once this starts....
