Harsh I'd say. Yes in the games we got humped, we got humped good and proper but you can find reasons in there for those debacles (personnel out of position, thrown in at the deep end etc) In the majority of games we were excellent though. The clean sheet total speaks for itself.

Have only seen a little bit of him really but if all the reports are right, £6mill would still be good business I feel. Think we'll meet them half way with the next offer. I suspect there'll be a bit of cat and mouse for a while yet. Fingers crossed

I think the fact the we now pay transfer fees up front and in full makes our position stronger as a consequence. if we offer 5.5mill, that's what you'll get, not 2mill now and a mill every year for the next three and 500 thousand in year four. It's a good policy that should/will pay dividends IMO.

OK, I'm guessing this might go down like a shit sandwich, but does anybody actually watch the Dutch league on a regular basis? I've only caught a few games this season and it was absolutely gash. Like, really terrible. Obviously this is a "what would I know" moment, but it was truly shocking. Perhaps I have a bad impression of it, would be interested to hear any other views on it.

Struggled in his first season a bit if memory serves. I suppose we're just naturally biased towards the "stronger" type of player (for the most part) given the physical nature of our football here.

Only caught glimpses of the Croatia game but Modric looked very good in the bits I seen. Doesn't look like a football though (physically I mean) seems very "runt" like. Looks all of 8 stone. Very tidy player mind. Felt sorry for them, gave it a good go.
