    Alan Pardew

That's all tongue in cheek tbf. By the majority at least. This Good post HTT by the way. I'm a newbie on here but if I'm reading this right, you've had your mind changed on AP so fair play for calling it. When he joined I was raging tbf, but took the view that it was better to judge him 12/18 months in, rather than on past performances. And here we are, amazingly, everything having worked out better than expected. All I can say is, Happy days

  7. Look at me, Look at me, I live in a posh area - Pathetic
  8. I think he would, it's seen to be a bigger job than Newcastle, and it's fairly likely he'll never do as well as this season again, and thus never have such a good chance at a job like that. That's a fair point actually. Is unlikely to get a better chance to manage a top four club Oh, hold on a minute Seriously though, there's a massive rebuilding job there and with £100m to spunk away you just never know. If he is approached (and turns it down "to finish what he's started at Nu-castle") I'll name my next kid Alan Scott Pardew

  10. F&ck me, what a head wrecker of a thread Way too many good memories this season, crazy. Yo Cab's free kick against ManUre, absolutely top class strike at the perfect time, lethally brilliant (nearly took the "big light" out in the living room) Stoke away for reasons mentioned, difficult place to go etc, and totally shat on them, was a watershed result for me. Lolerpool at home was epic, some of our passing in the first half was superb, and a great result (not forgetting Joke in goal and Carllol's) "dive" Shola's goal against the Mackems, Chelsea away, all of Cisse's goals, Ben Arfa becoming the "complete" player and his outrageous goals, Perchinio filling in, Colo being so, so good, Pards (and his glasses) big Demba's first half of the season, Since Ramadan song and probably a hundred other things I can't even remember right now. So many truly great memories this season, beginning to well up thinking about it :'( Also, now that I think about it, getting a "positive" response (from most people) when football talk comes around and I mention that I support Newcastle. There aren't that many of us over here (mostly, ManUre & Lolerpool "fans") so for years declaring yourself as an honorary "Geordie" was usually met with howls of laughter etc. Have been able to troll the sh1t out of sooooo many people this season it's been unreal. Make hay while the sun shines I say Howay the Lads :indi: :indi:

  12. Opening bit is bang on, no question but the Demba slagging is so wide of the mark it beggers belief. Prima Dona? Demba Ba? Yes, he's had a huge dip in form, but I'd hate to see him go. DB will come good again, I've no doubt in that. If you take him out of the first half of the season, we'd be nowhere. For that alone, he deserves loyalty from the fans and big love to see him through a dip. A back in form Demba and an on fire Papiss next season could will be immense :indi: :indi:
  13. Well there you go, everyday's a school day, as they say
  14. I don't believe things like Alcohol and betting organisations should be allowed to advertise, especially on Premiership club shirts. Fair enough kids shirts can't have those sponsors on but it doesn't really help when it's on pictures of their favourite players, on TV all the time etc. i'm not arsed about alcohol being advertised on shirts, as most of our iconic shirts had the blue star/brown ale logo but i do hate to see gambling websites on shirts Not fussed on the betting sites on shirts but the one that I dislike the most is the Wonga one on Blackpool's shirts. That's just wrong imo, the only people that service is "designed" for, is the desperate.

  16. Was flicking between both games and I have to say the atmosphere at both grounds was terrific. Pitch invasion in Dusseldorf was class What a situation, you could really feel the tension in the ground. Looked like a big old stadium that, packed to the rafters too, must admit I have a real soft spot for the Bundesliga. My team Hamburg just avoided relegation this season but the attendances and atmosphere at all the grounds is really something else. Standing sections and all the flag waving and banners at games add to the spice. Makes the PL "look" at bit tame on first viewing. The monthly goals for this season was on just after the game too, some real crackers in there.
  17. Lolcat tune goes really well with your avatar too, perfect tempo
