Yep. Worlds apart. What he's describing there is basically the dream; doesn't matter so much if they have a poor season. They're trying to be the best they can possibly be and they're doing it in an technical and sustainable way. Can't even face watching it. The ambition of clubs such as Brighton, Bournemouth, Wolves etc etc is complete anethema to this current version of NUFC. If Ashley ever sells, we'll be left with such a huge task just to catch up with a multitude of clubs that are much smaller than us in every sense, it will take decades.

I'd go for the second option. Plus Ashley wants to get one over the fans again. He hates us and another relegation is a small price to pay to keep the club suffering.

I’ve seen this theory spread several times and it’s just plain bizarre. Like a bird who has fucked you over I know. I don’t get it either. Just cannot fathom the logic to it. I can't see us getting hammered looking at Man Utd's squad. They'd struggle to hammer a League 1 team at the moment away from home. This could be Bruce's saving grace today, as if we get a result it sure as hell won't be due to any 'tactical' changes he's made.

We had a discussion a while ago when I said I actively hate him. He certainly thinks he's that good, but spends most of his time looking for a chance to fall, gesticulating at his teammates/officals/anyone who dares make contact with him and it always has to be the Zaha show. He hasn't grown out of any of it and won't grow as a player until he does.

This is probably correct, what I read was that more places have got discounted tickets, and the ones that already got them have got a lot more than usual. I do think Ashley will be going down this route as crowds dwindle though.

Think you're exaggerating tbh. Look at Sheff Utd, Brighton, Villa, Norwich and their squads. They've not got top-class managers either. Just needs someone with a bit of ability and confidence and we're back above those 4. Agree. I don't think this squad is that great, but they are being made to look worse by an absolutely disastrous managerial appointment. Bruce had no credentials at this level, at least not in the modern era. Even his supporters in the media haven't been able to give any meaningful endorsements. It's all vague nonsense about him being a good sort, or having plenty of experience. None of them go on to admit it's experience of being shite. Hard to judge, seeing as Bruce has a £40 million striker (undoubtedly cost closer to £20 million lets be honest) as well as Almiron for the whole season as opposed to about 10 games, whereas Rafa had Joselu this time last year. There is a case for believing that no matter who came in, the drop off from Rafa's meticulous micro-managing of the players through games was always going to leave the team looking a complete shambles. I mean, Bruce hasn't been ridiculed by all of his previous clubs fans. What if he is just average? (not saying I believe this bit btw)
