Did have TAA but dropped him for Virgil. Have mbueno and Wissa - will swap them in and out - depending on where their game will be home/away. dropped Cunha for Woods - think I need a regular 'No 9' and he fits the bill. only issue is with my defence - but getting there. pity i missed the first 3 weeks - otherwise i'd be a bit higher up the standings.

OK, daft question time - are the posters in this thread just doing the general FPL - or are you all in the newcastle league ? - if so what are your current positions ? I'm the strongest out of all of you as currently bottom - holding you all up.

As someone posted earlier - at present the 'forwards' even harrrlannnd aren't doing it - so there's no reliable person to stick with it's just a case of balancing the books and come out smelling of roses if you can.

i think wissa in for cunha out - brentford at home, tight ground - even thought their against us - don't have Pope so not an issue. Only other issue - is Sels or Pickford - it's the lesser of two evils - one against manure away - the other liverpool at home ? thoughts ?

ok, wasn't following this thread - just in FPL for the fixture for the weekly comp - but am strangely getting into it - thus am trying, after missing the first 4 weeks, to get off the bottom place in the league. So after a lot of transfers, some good, some bad, have a half decent team and am now only 33 points off 179th place.

I know I'm being pedantic here - but on the first point - are we living in a time bubble and someone knows who've got already - as counting Jan 2022 - plus 5 draws puts us in 2028 ? and the second - between 2006 and 2011 is, at most 7 years - so how 8 draws ? and before anyone answers - probably all competitions not just FA Cup. BTW - anyone at home - the bigger the better. -
The issue is, as I see it, you need consistent players - and at present some of these players aren't consistent - so one minute you don't have them - play well - you buy them in - perform shite - then sell - they score 3. You can't win half the time.

Eddie Howe - Cup Winning NUFC Manager

Wouldn't want him in a month of sundays. If he did probably course of events - sell all good players. buy in a load of other good players. Perform well for first, perhaps second season - spending lots as he goes. Performances fall off. table position dives. Out of europe - not that we might have been in to start with. Gets sacked. Then moans like a rabid 4 year old that all of the problems were manifesting themselves from within the club and nothing could be done about it. The sooner he takes retirement the better AFAIC.
