Love the fact we've got the bid in on the 1st Day of the window. That is something that hasn't happened in the last 14 years - great start

How is that not a pen?

I would think so like. £31m for a 31 yr old defender is crackers tbh. Atletico will be practically shoving him out the door.
If he helps keep us up it'll be money well spent

A LB and a quality one at that ? Surprised Everton are letting him go

I really hope we also target a LB

Still can't quite figure out Rangnick's 4-2-2-2 thing. It just looks a mess
The players haven't a clue either

My only concern is the structure of the decision making at the club - we need to move fast this window, they can't make the same mistake in taking so long to get a new manager in.
-
Be huge this if we can get this over the line

I think we'll see the stand-out transfers in summer. January will be very sensible imo, especially as Howe is the one with the requirements.
Jan is so much more important- we need to get the right people in to stand a chance of staying up.

Talkshite reporting we have reached out to insigne but he's going to Toronto fc, also that we are speaking to dembele and Trippier is pretty much a done deal to be announced early in the window
Would love Insigne

Who is the Barcelona fan on here again? Would love to hear the thoughts of someone who has watched him regularly. Dembele seems to be so highly rated but agree with the post above, always looked poor when I've seen him (although not much since Sky lost Spanish rights)
Same - not a name you associate with goals so what does he bring to the team?

It'll be Modric all over again

They'll be buying other clubs eventually, it's what's Abu Dhabi and Qatar have done.
They've not bought clubs that could potentially play in the same competition though - i.e. they have no other European clubs. And City by far is their flag ship club. I am hoping it is not true as I can't see how them buying Inter will be good for us.

BREAKING: Sevilla have made an offer to Manchester United to sign Anthony Martial on loan. Sky sports
Sky Sports News also exclusively revealed that Sevilla is Martial’s preferred destination, amid interest from Barcelona and Juventus.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59811365
Been rejected...
QuoteSevilla thought they could get Martial during January's transfer window but it is understood the offer only covered half of his wages, which are thought to be around £150,000 a week.
Pay all his wages - no brainer class player with tons of Premier League experience.

I bet other clubs have faked injuries to get a game called off

His fitness record has been fine with us. This is just one of those things unfortunately.
We have to get a capable striker in January now. If we don’t we are down.
How can it be fine if he's been out for the total of a season? That's a terrible fitness record.

That was honestly one of the best performance's from an NUFC team in years, the way pressured, the way we where direct in attack was class, and for the most part defended well. Excruciating we didn't win that.
100% agree
